Blizzcon: Diablo 3 might get ported to consoles |

TGS may be exciting, but let's not forget that another gaming
convention is taking place: Blizzcon!This piece of news comes from Blizzard president Mike Mohaime, who teases Diablo fans by saying that the third game might see a landing on consoles.
Every game we have the discussion about which platforms make the most sense. As Diablo 3 takes shape, I think we'll do an evaluation.
I think there is a pretty good argument to be made that that type of game might work very well on consoles. There might be some technical limitations though that we might need to get past.
His words echo Rob Pardo's who remarked earlier this year that Diablo III on the consoles is "theoretically possible," since it's the "most console friendly" of Blizzard's major franchises. Hopefully, Blizzard's recent merger with Activision will make this more than possible.

Hum...not sure about this one. The PC versions all required a TON of clicking. Interesting....
Diablo was really well ported to PSX.... Diablo 2 could've worked easily . Diablo 3 is even more possible since the PS3 can use almost any keyboards.

IE mouse, which don't work too well on any console, even tho support is built into PS3. Do you know anyone who actually uses M/KB on their PS3? Defeats most of the purpose of a console Diablo 3 for consoles would have to work with what most people use on their consoles, a controller. Or else it would not sell

I don't know why he uses it, he's probably trying to irritate people, and it's working. Irritating the hell out me, makes me not wanna read his posts.
yet someone out there manage to handle that just fine and kick ass with it. So opinions sometimes can be very one-sided.

@huked on foniks - Then don't. It's as simple as that. Keybaord + consoles equals failure. People don't want to have to buy a keyboard to play a PS3 game. The game must be playable via the controller. Also, don't assume everyone who owns a PS3 also owns a PC and also do not assume that everyone who owns a PC knows how to plug and unplug the keyboard. Maybe by using L1-L3 and R1-R3 they can make item selection easy enough. I guess we'll see.
