Bioshock devs hiring PS3 programmers |

Regardless whether we'll ever see Bioshock on the Sony PlayStation 3 or not, we can be certain about one thing - 2K Boston (former Irrational Games) is working on a PS3 title, and needs programmers to get its latest project finished. The company's job listing on its official website reveals it's hiring programmers for various positions.Bioshock earned a handful of "Game of the Year" honors for 2007 and was dubbed as a must-have gift by 2K Games, so it won't be surprising if people in charge decide to make more money out of the great first-person shooter. As of now, 2K Boston is hiring tools programmers and senior console programmers who can work on Sony's platform.
With lackluster endings and the constant request of fans to have more plasmids, it's easy to imagine 2K adding features and cutscenes to the original Bioshock. We're talking something like those Game of the Year editions of Bethesda Softworks' RPGs, which could be a great way to sell a game on a new platform after already selling millions of copies. Will Bioshock jump ship to the PS3? Time will tell.

Therefore the devs want programmers with experience on the PS3 already, because they can usually offer better results and faster developement time.

Idk why but it kinda funny hearing people say that, like the people in japan with the Mgs3 subsistence moveable camera.

plus PS3 will have enough fair share of its FPS by then.

If it does turn out that us PS3 owners are getting bioshock it just goes to prove my point that MS is playing dirty, prob with a fist full of cash that gets devs to imply that the games in question are ONLY for the 360. Only to have them ported over to the PS3 after a small period of time.

Also - as nice as Bioshock looked it was hardly a thrilling game to play to the end - the first 3 to 4 hours were cool but then it became repetitive and boring - the hacking was probably the most ridiculous thing ever...may as well have just made me play hangman.

A game is ONLY for a particular console until it is official announced for another, and so everyone involved is going to deny other versions until they're ready to announce otherwise. It's got nothing to do with cash or playing dirty, it's just the way it is (if you were a dev, you would be doing the same!).
If Bioshock does come out for the PS3, no-one will be shocked, but right now, no official annnouncement has been made, so denials will continue until that changes.
