Official Playstation 2 UK Magazine has revealed that Bioshock is on its way to the Playstation 3.  The PC classic, which is now making its way onto the Xbox 360 (Spring 2007), was always thought to have a PS3 version through a GameSpy interview with Irrational Games' Ken Levine earlier this month. In the said interview, he revealed that although no official announcements had been made (regarding bringing BioShock to other platforms), 2K Games would be announcing something in November.

Bioshock is a first-person RPG set beneath the waves in a utopia called Rapture, which once contained the brainiest people on the planet, before a civil war occurred and now contains fierce, desperate scavengers. Your character wonders around taking on mini-missions or scavenging for parts and bio-materials. Mixing a spine-chilling setting, sci-fi themes, RPG elements and a deep storyline with this first-person action, Bioshock is already a highly anticipated title!

If this turns out to be true, Bioshock for the PS3 will be hitting the shelves in March 2007. Check out  the scans below.

ill just say this: I think its fantastic that 3rd party western developers are thinking outside the box in terms of creativity. This and stranglehold have ass kickery written all over them.

Not so sure about "thinking outside the box". sounds like Deus Ex, pretty much exactly.

This was the one 360 game

that looked promising to me, but now that's coming to PS3 there's not much of a reason to bother with the 360 (well, ok maybe Halo 3 multiplayer). I can't wait to try this game out.

This is news?

Websites like Gamespot have reported it coming to PS3, PC and XBox 360 since E3 2006! The developers have never said it was 360/PC exclusive.

...

The reason this game sounds like Deus Ex is because Deus Ex borrowed heavily from the game that Bioshock's originated from. To make more sense, manyof the makers of System Shock (came out in 1993) went on to form Irrational Games after their company (Looking Glass Tech) was bought by EA. Bioshock is the "spiritual successor" to System Shock. Deus Ex borrowed many ideas from System Shock Good to see more games going multi-platform, nothings more frustrating than never getting to play a game because it never came to your system
