Get ready to put your Big Daddy suits on. 2K Games has finally announced a worldwide release date for BioShock 2 (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC).
The sequel-slash-prequel will be in retail stores come February 9, 2010. If you want to make sure that you set foot on Rapture again as soon as it's out, you can pre-order a copy now.
BioShock 2's main storyline is set 10 years after the events in the original and lets players step into the big clunky boots of a Big Daddy. The multiplayer is the prequel part, with players assuming the role of a Plasmid test subject.

I thought sites were saying that you would be playing the first Big Daddy. Sounds awesome, though.
You're right, that's what everyone has been saying. I was at gamestop a few weeks ago, and their Bioshock 2 display box said that. I re-read it several times trying to figure out how you could be 10 years later, and still be the first big daddy lol
February 9th is the day I'll turn 21. Looks like I get a free Bioshock 2 from somebody.
And if you guys had read any of the articles (anywhere, like EGM, IGN..something) you'd have known that you play as the first Big Daddy who has survived up to this point
