This one comes via press release from Capcom: they're announcing that the demo for Bionic Commando will be launching on Xbox Live very soon.

Though there was no specific date mentioned, they promise to make it available "in the coming weeks." Considering that the game will hit retail on May 19 for both the Xbox 360 and PS3, the demo could not be that far off indeed.

According to the press statement, the demo will feature one of the 16 multiplayer maps. It's called Vertigo and can hold up to 8 players for an online Deathmatch.

Strangely, the same press release doesn't make mention of a demo for the PlayStation Network. Something not surprising considering the same sort of confusion happened for Resident Evil 5's demo. We'll give you guys word as soon as we hear of Capcom's plans for a PS3 demo of Bionic Commando.

» PSN bandwidth fees

I hate to say it, but this is what Sony gets for charging developers bandwidth fees for putting things on the PlayStation Store. It's perfectly understandable if devs don't wanna put something free on the store.

» i don't think so

this new policy has been in effect since October 2008, and publishers have continued to release their content on both platforms. Not many demos for multiplatform games have come out just on the 360 either.

» hmmm

Capcom seems to be mum on an awful lot regarding the PS3 lately. I don't mind Xbox-centric content, but I don't see them putting any resources toward PS3-centric content at all. Quite disappointing.

Ah that's ok. If it's anything like previous Bionic Commando games I'll probably hate it anyways but I'd likely give the demo a try when we do get it just to be sure.
