Despite releasing Fallout 3 for both the PS3 and Xbox 360, Bethesda rep Pete Hines confirms, in his interview with The Bitbag's Torrence Davis, that DLC for Fallout 3 will only be for the Xbox 360 and PC versions. So if you've been looking forward to The Pitt and Broken Steel, then don't count on it.

Fallout 3 DLC is for Xbox 360 and PC.
As to how or why this is so, one can only speculate. Whatever the cause, PS3 Fallout 3 players are definitely gonna hate this news.

I am vowing that I will never buy another Bethesda game. Not for any system. Fallout 3 was an unfinished product to begin with when they shipped it. Guess my money isn't as good as 360 and PC player's. The game was supposed to be soooo looong. Level 20 cap? Really? Did that in a week, why bother playing longer? Oh well. Lesson learned.
I don't agree with it either, but this was confirmed back in August (before the game came out)

I think it's BS since PS3 owners should get the DLC, and I don't understand why they can't make it for the PS3 at some point in the future, but do you need to keep reminding PS3 players? It's not like they enjoy hearing it

Have you noticed the almost EVERY DLC is on 360 only and not both 360 and PS3? Personally, I've had. M$ can be greedy bastards, and buy out rights to every DLC. They must be so happy that they are kicking the PS3 while down. The PS3 is way behind the 360 in sales, and Microsoft is still trying to be top!

I think PS3 fans should stop buying their products and they can stay strictly Microsoft and after a year or 2 they will realize their mistake since both the PC and the XBOX are well know for piracy heck they could sell one game and someone upload it and then everyone else could download it for free, doesn't seem to smart on a sales kind of perspective. Ever developer knows that there isn't any known hack for playing back ups yet on the PS3 you think they would stick with them to increase some sales but oh well, the hell with them i will smash my copy of this peice of Cr*p.

If it's any consolation the first DLC wasn't that great, the additional armor and weapons were good but the gameplay itself wasn't very good. It wasn't the same gameplay of the main game, it was like a basic shooter and I think the next one will be more of the same. The last DLC will be great though and it's too bad PS3 gamers won't get it too, luckily I have all 3 consoles so I don't have to hate anyone.
BTW, PS3 has had and is getting new exclusive DLC for other games it's just the way things are, get over it.
I enjoyed the game on PS3. I enjoyed collecting the trophies which I had waited for before purchasing. If they don't want anymore money from me, then I'm happy to give it to someone else; Like Guerilla Games on friday for instance.
I'd say the same about Rockstar, but let's be honest here: Rockstar comes out on top regardless of what the consumer thinks. It's only Microsoft's loss there.

Microsoft has the money to buy out a lot of exclusives, and does so as it increases sales of there merchandise. There not trying to kick ps3 when there down or any other such nonsense. Its just business.
Well if you own GTA4 you should smash that too, 360 owners got exclusive DLC for that too, and theres still 2 more exclusives after that before PS3 gets the 2 that come to both consoles. +)
360 has gotten rights to every huge multi console games dlc. i think sony paid a few bucks for smackdown 09s dlc though as 360 has yet to get. i buy most big games for my 360. but i use ps3 more(normally for movies)
I'm more bothered about the GTA exclusive than this one. Never found Fallout 3 that interesting personally but it's still an annoyance to friends of mine who own it on PS3.

use my 360 for burned multiplats but buy multiplats on ps3 for online (unfortunately i bought fallout for ps3)

It might be the case that Microsoft is actually funding the dlc being created, what annoys me is that Bethesda isn't telling anyone why they are releasing it only for the xbox and pc

BTW not every DLC is 360 only, PS3 has some only for it too. I really, really want that Bioshock DLC. I think I'll buy a copy of the game for PS3 just to play it

I really enjoy Fallout 3 (Still trying to get all the trophies) if you look past the level cap and focus on the game itself it has a lot to offer in terms of side quests and secrets.
I understand if the devs went for the money over a multi format option (they are a business after all), I just hope in the near future they will support the PS3 in other ways (Like developing games for the PS3 and porting them to the 360)
I also hope Sony try to secure some exclusive DLC for multi-platform games developed on the PS3, like FFXIII.
I'm typing this message on my Wii as I'm downloading GTA Lost + Damned on my 360 which is on standby and is connected to the internet through my PS3 using a network bridge in Linux that routes an Internet connection from the Wireless card through to the Ethernet port.
I'm just upset that Bethesda isn't offering ANYTHING new for the money I spent. I played it, got all the Quantums, beat it, and now it is collecting dust.
All they would need to do is up the level cap to keep me happy. Like I said....20? That's ridiculous for an RPG. I bought a game from them that was unfinished, and I wish they would step up and do something about it.
Why is everyone so worked up over these DLC. The first DLC isn't all that great and it's a rip off.
Who's to say the Fallout 3 won't be repackaged next year for PS3 with all the DLC on the disk?
I mean, the DLC was an MS exclusive, but if you want to nitpick, the exclusivity rights MIGHT only apply to the "DOWNLOADABLE" content ONLY,
So you MIGHT see a PS3 version will all expansions included, just like Burnout Paradise Ultimate Box or Oblivion GOTY Edition.
but what do I know, I'm pretty much maiking huge assumptions here, it really depends on licensing and where the exclusivity applies to DOWNLOADS only or are blanket exclusivity that covers any EXPANSION, regardless of distribution medium (download, bu-ray disc, etc.)
You know, piracy really does need to exist on the PS3. There are certain games that I just dont want to buy because I dont want to support the *****ty developers.
I hope this monopoly burns to the ground and every single employee dies in the most gruesome way immaginable.
And I purchased 5 new games for my PS3 with that $50 bucks you had to give to the worlds most greedy monopoly just to keep your Xbox Live working. I got new games, you got a bill.
