Best PSN Game of the Year |

Best PSN Game: Echochrome
Runner Up: Bionic Commando Rearmed
Comments: Echochrome would have won the "most insanely annoying and still too-hard-to-put-down game" award for me, but hey, Best PSN game it still is!
Isaac C:
Best PSN Game: Echochrome
Runner's Up: PixelJunk Monsters, Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix
Comments: Echochrome. Because I like getting vertigo?
Mabie A:
Best PSN Game: Pixeljunk Eden
Runner's Up: Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Echochrome
Comments: The first thing that caught my eye with Pixeljunk Eden was the graphics. If you know and love kustaa saksi like i do, this will certainly catch your eye as well, you just can't deny how much they scream "separated at birth". Anyway, Street Fighter 2 Turbo takes runner up, the bugs were a turn off although, they were admittedly funny. Still, it makes for some good ol' fun down the old block, so it's not that bad. As for Echochrome. honestly, I hate it, it's so farkin' hard! And to think I love abstract reasoning. But although I hate it so bad for making me feel utterly stupid halfway through a level, this is a really kickass game. I like games that make you think. Although this one did kinda go overboard, resulting in a nosebleed just figuring out what dimension you're in now.
Karl B:
Best PSN Game: The Last Guy
Runner's Up: Siren: Blood Curse, Echochrome
Comments: The Last Guy proves that sometimes, simple is best. The graphics (apart from the satellite imaging, that is) may look like something from two decades ago, but the gameplay and entertainment value is loads better than your average "next-gen" game.
Siren: Blood Curse - Siren: Blood Curse has what other survival horror games fail to create: a truly intense atmosphere.
Echochrome - For sheer "why didn't I think of that" factor, this game takes the cake.
Glenn M:
Best PSN Game: Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix
Comments: Even with the potentially deal-breaking glitch found in the game, the HD remix of a great classic scores big points in my book for two simple reasons that Capcom delivered on big time: they successfully put a great classic in HD, and they improved gameplay while keeping true to the feel of the game..
Chris C:
Best PSN Game: Crash Commando
Runner's Up: Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness Episode One (whew), PixelJunk Monsters.
Comments: It's fast, frantic and pure fun. You'll sink hours into this little gem and wonder where the time went. One question, when's the DLC coming?

I don't really play the PSN games. Just think it's a waste of the console's power when you could be playing COD, GTA or LBP etc.
Siren: Blood Curse looks amazing, as does Gran Turismo 5, Warhawk etc.
And then there's the age old argument that graphics aren't everything. A lot of PSN games might not push the console to its limits, but good art direction more than makes up for that.
what happend to like super stardust or other trophy-baring psn titles, echocrome is annoying as hell and pixeljunk... idk
SSHD came out on June 15th 2007, why would it be listed?
oh right sry lol forgot its only psn games of 2008
EASY does Warhawk count?
The editor was just giving examples of great PSN titles because someone above said that they were a waste of the PS3's power. They may be, but graphics don't always make the game great. Example: Super Stardust HD. It's the only game that gave me the same adrenaline rush as Robotron 2084. Running for your life while blasting away your opposition. Gotta love that!
i hated echochrome. HATED it. it pissed me off so bad i was worried i was going to break my controller in half. my vote goes to bionic commando or pixeljunk eden.
lol don't give anyone here any ideas about buying them, PSN is a ripoff compared to disc prices. PSN charges $40 for GT5: Prologue... I can find it for $20 easily on disc
Same for Warhawk, just got that off eBay for $15. PSN price is $30.
What about PAIN? Thats one awesome game. its so funny. It's the only PSN game that I've brought more things for as I think all those others are crap.
Ecochrome is ok but it gets boring very fast.
Street Fighter whatever. It's about 20 years old isnt it? Get over it. It was crap back then and still is now.
Wipeout HD, Pain, Crash Commando, Bionic Commando, Soldner-X, PJ-Monsters
The abovie in equal measure
i'd have to disagree and say Lumines Supernova. i mean its just an amazing game and its endless amount of play it winds up paying for itself. Echochrome was okay, i didnt feel the need to waste money on a game that will ge me frustrated every other second.
Soldnir X I think its deff the best psn title out atm
WipEout HD. Amazing game. Have played the previous games on both PSX and PSP
