As the observant folks at Siliconera point out, at the bottom of the game's official site, the only platform listed is a resounding "Xbox 360." Not a single breath of a "PlayStation 3" anywhere. We've screen capped the image below:
It's not an official confirmation just yet. Namco Bandai hasn't given any statement that Beautiful Katamari won't grace the PS3's Cell processor. However, their exclusion of the platform from the Japanese website does say quite a lot in itself. Even more so, as Siliconera reports, the website previously did have "PlayStation 3" tucked somewhere in the site. Now? Well, it's probably cosmic dust already. And for what it's worth, the official site doesn't speak of a Wii version either.

Hehe, in the screenshot, under 'Genre', it says: 'Romance&Beauty'. What kind of game is that, exactly? The OMG, Ponies! version of Katamary Damacy? I don't need that on my PS3, I'll wait for a more down'n'dirty hardcore version. ;)

It's no surprise. PS2 has had two installments already and the new game looks to be almost exactly the same as the old games. It's pretty much making the game accessible to a broader audience, since PS3 owners can always just get the first two. A good way to go, IMO
Another sony game lost, and another 360 exclusive gained. I know its nothing new, but it still feels soooo good.

in that sense, you can say the same about Full Auto and Ridge Racer. Both sequels were PS3 exclusives. Yea you can say that they were the same games, but so is Katamari.
the game is crap, nice one 360 u have acquired a totally crap game, have fun with it. i know il go buy a 360 just to play it, its so worth it lolzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz*snore*
this game is so s**T it only appels to japanese people coz they buy anything
besides the fact that this is 1 of the few games im looking forward to for ps3 and ill be crushed if we dont get it i cant imagine that this game will go over well with the xbox people there isnt 1 gun in the whole thing and its not 1st person and there arnt any xbox in japan to play it on i cant see how this being 360 onry would be a good marketing plan if it is 360 onry its got to be M$ payola again thinking they can buy a place in the jp market

i have thought about it but unless someone gets region free going on that thing it aint gonna happen ive been a die hard kengo fan sence the first 1 on ps2 and imported 2 and 3 and even started reading kanji just to play them when kengo zero was only on xbox just about broke my heart but buying a japanese 360 for 2 games might be a little over the top
its people like you who give gamers the bad name of short tempers and always resorting to violence. So please, for the sake of the entire gaming community, never speak another work.
snap snap talk to the hand no really im a very calm non violent person just this 1 issue drives me crazy i really really like this game and would be sad to not get it or see no one buy it
