If you were familiar with Sega's selfsame promo with Virtua Fighter 4 on the PS2, then you might want to check out a new one, this time on the PS3. Sega is now on the lookout for the perfect Virtua Fighter 5 arcade player data for VF5's upcoming home version. The lucky players who get selected will see their own characters and equipment in the game. The user characters may appear as rival characters, also with their own ring name, introductory text, battle record and level.
Now what exactly do you get if you get chosen? Seeing your character in the game is supposed to be a surprise, as Sega won't let you know soon enough until the game has been released. You also get 1000G so you can buy from the VF.net service.
If you're a hardcore VF5 gamer, a Japanese resident, with an active Sega's VF.net service account, then you're in. Of course, you'd have to have your own internet connection, or if not, a mobile phone with an internet access. Know more about it at Sega's Japanese VF5 site.
