Action game fans now have another thing to look forward to for the New Year. Sega has penciled in an early January release for Bayonetta (PS3, Xbox 360) in the US and Europe.
The stylish hair- and torture-powered action game from Hideki Kamiya and Platinum Games will hit the US on January 2. It'll be in Europe a few days later on January 8. No word on a demo date yet, but the early January launch points to a possible December release.
PlayStation 3 owners who can't wait until January, however, can always just import the game's Japanese version since it's already in English, including the voices. Makes one wonder why they had to wait until January to release it.

This game looks like ass on the ps3 compared to the xb360 version and its not got anything to do with the ps3's capabilities.

Sega publicly stated months ago that the reason for the January releases date is to avoid the holiday rush. The game has been finished for awhile and could have come out simultaneously with Japan's release. Sega may or may not be polishing the PS3 version for the US and Euro release, but I wouldn't bet on it.
