Here is the latest update from the upcoming first-person shooter which is currently under development by Digital Illusions CE. Battlefield: Bad Company will be the first Battlefield game to be developed for next-gen consoles like the XBox 360 and the PS3. It is now expected to be released by August 1, 2007.
In Bad Company, DICE will take on a different strategy and focus on the single-player component. The multiplayer mode allows up to 24 players, and recent screenshots confirm the return of US HMMWV, tanks and helicopters. New features that are exclusive to Bad Company include things such as the fact that most of the terrain are destructible, thereby enabling players to create strategies with this new opportunity. Another new feature is Ironsight which is a new aiming mode also featured in the game, where aiming will now cause your firing direction to move in random directions to take away repetitive fire, just as it would in real life. Using Ironsight will help to improve a player's aim, causing the player to focus on his target and temporarily blur out surrounding objects.

I was stoked about this game the second I saw some screens for it! It looks great, can't wait.
this looks ok for it probably being in alpha stages. it will come together quite nicely since its being developed by dice sweden

iron sight isnt a new feature its in bf2
those buildings look like they may be destructable. just how they look smashed up. if they incorperate this i will cream my pants so bad
Yeah they totally are. There is more screen shots from a magazine and it tells alot of info on the game and they was talking about how the buildings and stuff are totally destructable.
And since this is just the first screens where seeing and it being so early... I bet the final game and as time gos by the game gonna look even better, lol.
I sure hope this is not there plan to give us a new bf for consoles with better graphics then any of the other bf games with there new next gen engine and then they use the same engine and make bf 3 for pc... or maybe they will use the same engine as bf2... but I think they know it time for next gen graphics for any next gen bf game and now seeing this game... I wonder if they will use the engine for bf 3.

Lol... all supports 64 players online and this new bf for next gen consoles only supports 24... that is so wrong.
The maps sould be as big or bigger then bf 1942/bf 2, and bf 2142? And haves 64 players for online.
I mean really it's a next gen bf game with a new next gen engine for next gen consoles... lol.
I hope this games is as goood as bf2 and 99% of things in this game are destructable so that should be great. I also hope there will be aitplanes. The game looks cool to bad it wont come out till August 07
