The PS3-exclusive beta for DICE's Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (game also on Xbox 360 and PC) is already available for download, so get it while it's still hot. There's a problem with the server, though, but they're working on it quick.Said the Official BFBC2 Twitter account:
US Client is up, Start downloading, but still some things to iron out in the environment & this will take a bit longer.
Well at least you can get the downloading process done and out of the way, so you'll just go straight to enjoying it once the servers go live. It's at 912MB in size, so just make sure you have enough space on your drives.
That tweet was later on followed up by this one, too:
An Update, just like for the EU will come soon for the US Client & then it's a go!
Go, go, go!

The controls are slightly altered this time around but when you start getting used to it, you'll be great.

a beta is an unfinished part of a game that might not even make it in the final product..

Worst of all, though, has to be the graphics. The framerate sucked, and whatever resolution they're running it at, they should try lowering it and putting it through some decent upscaling, because damn it there are just too many jaggies to withstand.
If they sort all of this out before release, though, I can seeing this become a household staple pretty much right away.
