Assassin's Creed II to be released during the holidays |
Ó
Off the Ubisoft presswire reads:
Today Ubisoft announced that Ubisoft Montreal is developing Assassin's Creed II on all current-generation platforms for a scheduled Holiday 2009 release. The initial installment of Assassin's Creed® was released in November 2007 to popular and critical success, selling 8 million copies worldwide and garnering awards such as Best Action Game 2007 from 1UP and Outstanding Achievement in Animation from the AI
So by all current-gen platforms, do they mean this one's coming to Wii too, apart from the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC versions that we already know? Highly doubtful, and the Wii is no PS3 or Xbox 360 either.

How many of these non-game trailers are we going to have to sit through? 5 or 6 more, showing pictures of Leonardo DaVinci's drawings, set to some melodramatic score?
If they're releasing by year's end, one would have to hope that they have SOME code ready to display by now.
(Unless, of course, it looks EXACTLY the same --unimproved-- as the last one, and they're hiding that fact that it's just a different setting; same engine.)
the game was horrible and repeated itself just change the scenery a little add a little bit more grass and a new level. I was tricked by all the hype and ads to buy the game and i ended up being real dissapointed. I hope no one buys this game so they can learn their lesson and realise they tricked people
Yeah the game came with my PS3 and I found it to be extremely dull and very tedious to play. Sold it and put the money towards LBP.
does everyone have to complain? Personlly I think it's an amazing game. Of course it's repetative but that's the life of the Assassin, he scouts, gthers information an then kills. A least there was variation in the Assassinations themselves. Sure it would be nice to have a bit extra, maybe that crossbow we saw in the trailer but never had, some extra scenarios and locations but fr what AC1 was i was amazing. The first game to truly allow you to climb almost anything the detail was stunning considering how he moved between climbable objects and placed his hands and feet. The detail in the movement, even in his character skin itself. All we can expect from AC2 is fr them to build on this amazing beginning and make something truly brilliant. From what I have read it should be pretty good, and as I have come to expect from Ubi Montreal, with the exception (in my opinion) of PoP4, they always improve substantially.
As for the complaints about the trailer, I like these vague tralers that leave you in awe. Sony did it with the PS3 before release and I like the way they do it here. They (Ubi) give the opportunity for you to see things like the character wit the emailed symbol that lets you unlock the Ezio character using your webcam, and they will slowly release more. It's fn this way, or has everyone fforgotten what fun is these days?
