While looking through Amazon today, we came across something that's sure to have PS3 and Xbox 360 owners salivating and wishing for a time-speeder-upper device. According to Amazon, Assassin's Creed is now available for pre-order and will be released on September 25.Currently in development by Ubisoft Montreal, Assassin's Creed has impressed a lot of gamers with its great graphics and exciting gameplay. The intriguing storyline has also provoked a lot of speculation, and technical director Claude Langlais' "95% [of the game] takes place during the Third Crusade" comment has only added more fuel to the fire.
We wonder, how many people are going to skip school (and work) just to find out what that other 5% is? Assassin's Creed is slated for release on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, but we could only find entries for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions on Amazon.

That date is not real AT ALL. Retailers make placeholder dates because an actual date is more attractive to customers then a "TBA 2007/2008".
NEVER, EVER rely on retailers for announcing dates- for ANY game. Wait for an official announcement from the developer(in this case Ubisoft).
hmm on the uk site it says that its coming out on september 7th.....guess were getting it before the us

on-time, if their life depended upon. It will be delayed, many times over. Maybe Sep. 2008.

this is definetly a fake date. the developers said on their site awhile back that they pushed it into a 2008 release along with another title of theirs.
the ps3 has no fkn games :(
