Once targeted for a Summer 06 release for the Xbox 360, Armored Core 4 is not only rumored to be cancelled for Microsoft's console, it now also seems the game by From Software won't be hitting shelves in time for the Playstation 3 launch either. According to the latest issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu, the newest iteration in the long-running mech action & customization series is currently scheduled for a release in December. While it was never confirmed for a launch release, many assumed that Armored Core 4 would at least follow up swiftly - with a postponement to December we guess it just depends on your definition of "swiftly"...
Still, Armored Core 4 promises a lot to players, including online mods, more opponents and even deeper customization features. So if From Software are taking their time to polish up the game even further, let's give them the chance to do so, and perhaps meanwhile, the confusion surrounding the Xbox 360 version will be cleared up as well...we'll keep you posted.

December is the less than 3 weeks after launch? Not much of a delay but I guess its just spinning off the EU thing...
What can they do in 3 weeks for a game?
MS said 90 days (3 months!) after launch is still considered launch window.
3 week is surely in the launch window. I thought you were going to say delayed into spring or summer. I guess making it look like a big delays attacks much more readers though =)
here in the US, we will probably not see it any time soon.

I hope it's a delay for the better. I think this game is going to be awesome and hope they do their best to make it so. I don't care about a delay as long as they make it good. I would rather spend my money on a good game later then a game sooner that is bunk. Armored Core 4 looks like one of the best PS3 games so far. It still looks like the lineup for games on PS3 look better then the lineup for PS2 at launch. No matter, when it comes out I will buy it.
