Theyre all about the gimmicks, hence why they added tilt control at the last minute (after hearing that Nintendo was going to do the same).

haah, i'm assuming you haven't even seen a PS3, let alone fired one up and played it. being roommates with a crazed man who braved 3 days of Los Angeles weather (curse that 80 degree weather in November!), we scored ourselves a PS3, and sorry, the games look amazing. even on a standard def TV. the PS3 looks *nothing* like the original X Box. period. the fact that more units are coming out already is a good thing, as i remember having to wait 6 months to get a PS2, due to shortages. i may be able to score my own PS3 by the end of this year, but seeing as how my roommate has one, i'm in no hurry right now. anyway, Resistance is awesome, Motorstorm looks amazing and is very fun (but hard as hell), and Ultimate Alliance is dumb, typical Activision mediocrity, but i have a soft spot for Marvel characters all being in one game.

i wouldn't advise that strategy considering that Sony plans on shipping new units every week. most people will just wait until the next shipment, ignoring your ebay (or whereever) spot and purchasing it from the store for a fair price. remember, the same hardcore fans that are willing to camp out to get their hands on a PS3 and pay upwards of $2000 for one are the same people that peruse the internet daily looking for new information, and have probably run across this particular story, and have decided to wait and get in on any preorders that may pop up in the coming weeks. with that said, i hope you buy all 10 PS3s then end up stuck with them. i love poetic justice.

you guys ***** too much, stealing ideas or not, fans want the latest thing and best technology in one system and sony has done that. Any company to throw something in like that last minute is smart, and the price for a ps3 is a steal. blu-ray players are over 700, and to be able to play nex gen games, have a blu-ray,bluetooth, and a decent hard drive is a hell of a deal. And someone said sony is all about gimmicks ? why did microsoft have so many xbox's that died and failed within the first few weeks of being released? Sony has atleast taken their time to drop something awesome again. people that are saying to get an xbox were probably the ones waiting inline who didnt get a ps3, suckers. hahah.

first things first: about 3 or 4 years ago, there was an interview with Ken Kutaragi or Kaz Hirai asking him what we may expect from the PS3 (this interview was in one of the Playstation gaming mags), and one of the things he said, when asked about the controller, was that you'd be able to, for example, "steer a car in Gran Turismo with the controller," and he smiled slyly. this was years before Nintendo announced the motion sensing. in either case, i don't give a rats ass who came up with the motion sensing first. it's a none-issue in the long run, and kind of childish to debate about. two: after having spent some time with the Wii and the PS3 this weekend (as mentioned in one of my early posts on this page, my roommate got a PS3 Friday morning. two of my friends brought their Wii's over last night). i can say that i'm very dissappointed. while Wii Sports Golf and Bowling are great, the rest of the game looks like ass, and doesn't control very well. Zelda, while i know will be an amazing game, really isn't very attractive. it's obvious that it's a Gamecube game that was used to boost Wii sales. it's the Nintendo way, and it's worked for *years.* three: i like the option of being able to *not* use motion sensing if i don't like it (ie, you don't have to play with motion sensing on the PS3, but you have no choice *but* to on the Wii). some of the games i played on the Wii, i didn't like with the wand, but what other option is there. while playing Motorstorm, or Ultimate Alliance on the PS3, if i didn't like how the tilt felt, i turned it off. four: getting a 360 over a PS3 isn't a bad idea, and i don't know why people act as if that's the biggest diss in the history of console wars. if the 360 has games you want to play, then by all means, get one. same for the PS3, but it needs to be said that the price of the PS3 *will* drop, and not a single damn one of us *has* to buy one now. let the hardcore Sony fans get their fill. by the time the system is ready for mass market (say, 2008), there will be a price drop to a more friendly level, and also killer software to push it (ie, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XIII, to name just two). it also needs to be said that, out of the gate, the PS3 has a killer app: Resistance: Fall of Man. this game rocks. from controls to gameplay, to 40 man online with *NO LAG WHATSOEVER* 360 fans touted Gears of War as the reason why they got a 360, Resistance is good enough reason to get a PS3, and we didn't have to wait a year after launch for it. with all that said, i think all 3 consoles have their merits, as well as their annoyances, but it boils down to the games, and all 3 will have their share of kickass titles.

From what i see the ps3 is clearly the greatest choice. Just the feature of being able to play blue ray movies is great enough. A blue ray player is selling for $1000. A ps3 is only $500 or $600.

yea i think the ps3 is a good choice to get , i see alot of kids runing around with them 60-80 gig ipods that cost about the same price as the ps3 and there worthless in comparison to the ps3, sony is losing money like around 200 per console so , i think is a good deal to have an 8 cored processing machine and thats capable of delivering more graphic power than 2 nvidia gt7900 video cards in sli wich cost's about 700-800 ............. im getting one ARE YOU?

sony makes games and game systems that last---microcrap makes *****y @ss computers and lame @ss game consoles that dont even work. they fail at trying to monopolize the freaking world and its all due to ps3. so there. waste your money on a cheap @ss piece of green crap, or invest in something you'll be glued to for the next ten years. 360 is for people who cant afford a ps3. and anyone who says otherwise is a mindless idiot. nuff said.

There is only one reson I will be buying a PS3, other than how great square erix (final fantsay XIII), Konami (metal gear solid), and polyphony (gran turismo) games are. That reason is my vast library of PS2 and PS games, I didn't spend all that money to jump ship now. There are people out there who are complaining about being forced to have a blu-ray drive in their PS3, So what if blu-ray fails i sure the f%@& didn't buy my PS2 for the dvd player and the more you use it the faster it will wear out. Should HDDVD win out i'll just go buy a HDDVD player. Resons I wont give my hard earn dollars to x-box is do to the fact that if I didn't need a computer to write this comment and do other daily tasks. I wouldn't own one. I hate everything about mirosoft, from their half assed products (windows 2000 and ME) to their domination in the pc world (mind you it's not as dominate anymore). The way it sounds the PS3 is pretty much a computer in it's own right. You can add any 2.5" HDD to the PS3 a keyboard and mouse through bluetooth (probably the greatest invention in a longtime). s*** all it needs is to support e-mail and BAM! no more PC (i could only hope).
