Another announcement of an announcement: Haze update coming soon |
Ó
It's funny how these types of news are starting to pop up everywhere. We're announcing that an announcement is coming, and it's sad that we just can't announce the contents of that announcement right here. Still, it seems that Free Radical Design's highly anticipated shooter, Haze (for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3), is going to get a new update soon. Or that's what it seems.
The date for a revelation in the game is marked for May 10, Thursday next week. Seeing as this viral marketing strategy over the fictional Mantel Global Industries web site comes from the same guys who made the phenomenal GoldenEye 007, it's should be a must for fans of the game to encircle this date on their calendars.
New Mantel Trooper coming soon? Since it's going to be published by Ubisoft, we hope it's more than just that.

Comments [refresh]
They released all kinds of info to PSM. The characters name is Shane Carpenter. The soldiers look like bees in the new suits kinda. Black and Yellow. They have a helmet now, yellow glass, and around the neck is a storage of Nectar, which is a biomedical combat enhancer made by Mantel, like it shows where you will bullets, melee attacks, grenades will come from before it happens, super powers your melee, lets you focus in on an enemy, lets you see hidden enemies etc. Also, they are really focusing on the multiplayer portion of the game. Also, there will be a 4 player online co-op. There will also be a number of two to four person vehicles that break apart realistically like in Motorstorm. And there will be definite plot twists and such. For example, in parts of the game, your soldier will go through withdrawal of Nectar, and when your suit will malfunction and everything will seem the opposite of what you had been seeing. Instead of sunny bright surroundings, everything is dark and cold, enemies scream and writhe as they die in pools of blood instead of unusually dying silent when the suit is working. Also, if you overdose on Nectar you will lose control of the soldier and could end up firing at your own squad, which in turn will shoot at you. They won't use the Unreal Engine, instead Free Radical is using one they have made and Haze will be the first game to use it. Finally, there will be no load times, but no cut scenes either. Free Radical said that the whole game will be played through the character and his perspective.
sounds pretty nice
Free radical should be reconised for timesplitters more than goldeneye. goldeneye was good but not as good as the timesplitters games and only some people in free radical helped make goldeneye.
