The promotional machine keeps on chugging for Evolution Studios' MotorStorm with a new batch of screenshots. After its impressive Japanese debut, however (not to mention all those glowing comments), really, all that is left is to release the game once and for all in North America and Europe.
Sooner would be better than later. On the other hand, there's probably nothing better to vindicate the UK-based Evolution peeps than their baby right there, as part of the Euro launch lineup.

Best racing game ever made
Graphically, this game looks *****ing amazing. I didn't really enjoy the demo, though. Didn't like the feel of the game at all actually...probably won't end up getting it. Wheres that iso loader already? lmao.
you are aware that the final version is till a great deal better from the demo. every sites agreeing and stating this so don't knock it yet

No CGI here mate. Unlike your Halo 3 which is jst completly CGI at the moment and the screenshots of it look last gen.

The first Halo 3 trailer (the one with MC in the desert) was 100% realtime, running on the game engine (and proven to be realtime by Bungie). It was the Halo 3 ad which was CGI, and deliberately made so that we knew it was a CGI ad for the game. As for the screenshots. All we've seen are screenshots from the alpha build of the game, which lacks many of the graphical features of the final game (as Bungie state on their website). So yes, the CGI comment about Motorstorm was stupid, but that doesn't mean you should offer a stupid response in return. :|
How did halo get involved?! With xbots the answer to all arguments is either halo or gears, GET MORE GAMES!!!
If you bothered to READ the thread, you will see that it was a PS3 fan who introduced Halo into the discussion, with a comment which was as dumb as the CGI comment about Motorstorm. So let's get back on topic. :|

i still think the 15 minute MGS4 trailer was better than the halo trailer and for anyone thats played resistance, halo sort of took resistance's idea of a protection nade. in resistance there was a backlash grenade so you throw it, let it explode, then jump in the shield it just made, which you can shoot out of and if the enemy shoots at it, well, then the bullet goes right back to whoever shot it.
So far that so called in game 100% real time demo has not been reached in the leaked screen shots. When EGM previewed the game, it was stated that it was an alpha build with halo2 placeholder textures. With even the so called leaked video from Iraq, it still had placeholders. With all the screenshots of the game that were leaked and on the internet, they all had placeholders. When the beta comes out, it will be the version without placeholders. Thats when people can say if they live up to their target render or not.

Yeah its easy to make characters with helmets and masks because you dont have to put detail on the head. But theres rumors in halo3 that they are going to show the man beneath the mask. Also, that shield grenade idea is pretty old as a concept so to bring it back in a game, you cant claim someone stole it from anyone else. RFoM had a very cool and totally unique method for their shield grenade. The first time i used it I threw it at an enemy and tried to shoot through it to find my shots being deflected. It doesn't get reflected back to you, it just deflects all your shots. The shield grenade in Halo3 or so the concept shows, its small, it leaves you invincible to attack but you cant attack from it either. It makes no sense for a shield grenade because they already have personal shields in the game. Would have been more realistic if you had a shield upgrade that allows you to extend your personal shield into a bubble that offers more protection from explosive fire.
OMG Now we have another this time its about MGS4 trailer and HALO. PS3 owners try sticking to the topic. BUT anyway as far as Halo 3 goes you only have a couple of weeks and you will be seeing the full playable online Beta demo so just wait and see. I think you are going to be very disappointed if you think this game is going to be anything less than near perfect.
Sensible question, when you land after a big jump,drive over small rocks etc and do not feel any feedback/rumble through the pad surly it sort of takes out the fun of this sort of game?.

On all forums, as long as there are fanboys around (for ALL consoles), topics like this will usually degenerate into fanboy arguements.

honestly i commend the development team behind Motorstorm.I has reached seriously close to the pre-rendered trailer showed at E3 2005.Like Phil said in the interview only thing i lacks is the mud splashing in your face, but i would make for very complicated gameplay.Also heard that online is a blast so far.Oh and about H3 it was running on the engine but bungie didn't rebuild it's engine the simply updated the H2 engine they used adding shaders and whatnot.Cant wait to fire the bloody thing up though.Bring on motorstorm mate.

Didn't Phil Harrison say something like "we had to turn down the mud because the game was unplayable?" I don't see hardly any mud in the screens, just cheezy dust effects. Also look at all the detail in the area around the track. Flat low-res landscape, wow. I even read the texture detail is noticably lower in the areas of the track that are not normally seen. Also is this the only track or do they all look the same? It's the only one I've seen screens for. This not some AAA game you've been waiting for. Just an average off road racer with no new gameplay ideas or innovation. How can anybody make a big deal about this game, it should have been a launch game!
ok, let's discuss Mototrstorm now plz? Does anyone think that Evoluton studios will improve the motion sensing steering from the demo on the playstation store? Personally, I didn't really like it, especially with the motorcycles, let's hope Evolution improves it a little. I usually just played it with the antalog stick. Still a great game, though.

Much better online. Sure if you want to pay money and get lag everytime someone leaves a game on Gow. I like Gow but when I play online there is an unbelievable amount of lag that you shouldn't get with an online service you have to pay for. It's not my connection either because I have taken the 360 to friends houses with COX highspeed and had the same problem. Much better game selection. Okay nearly every 360 game is a FPS or sports game and there are few good FPS. Interference free controllers with rumble. Do you own a PS3? My controller hasn't glitched at all and rumble is suddenly a must have as soon as it's gone WTF? Smaller size, other components can be stacked on top. Smaller size yes but you have that brick on the power cord and it sounds like an airplane engine in the room while the PS3 is whisper quiet. I can stack my eyetoy on top of my PS3 just fine. Lower price don't have to buy things you don't need. It just depends on what you want in a system and that's ok. New version coming soon. Because MS has to respond to the PS3. Just a little over a year after launch? Sounds like a desperation act to me. And don't use the Fanboy accusation on me because I personally like the 360 but I notice the flaws in all systems I think the PS3 has been more thought out and has less flaws.

Come on, be honest now, you know that's not truem since both the PS3 and 360 are designed to be upgraded. All the new 360 model will have (if true) is a new port (HDMI) and a bigger HDD. That's hardly an act of desperation. Don't you expect Sony to release a PS3 with a larger HDD as standard in future? Perhaps this year? Perhaps with additional improvements such as a built-in hardware scaler. Will it be an act of desperation for Sony too? Of course not. Both consoles will continue to scale up and improve as the gen progresses.
