Fresnadillo is reportedly on the negotiating table with Universal Pictures in light of Gore Verbinski's back out due to geographical issues (they were supposed to shoot overseas but logistics won't let them). Verbinski, however, remains as the producer for the game-movie adaptation penned by John Logan.
We'll keep you posted on this one as news breaks.

... ugh.... why is it that most video game - movie projects catch the eyes of huge directors and then it ends up getting passed to who ever has 5 mins to spare?
seriously big produders are like wow pretty game must make movie! then either filming scene diffuculty or producer gets bored of it boom "ehh...i dont wanna work on this bye!!" well they better make it good....
28 weeks later was a disapointment for me after the masterpiece that was 28 days later, why can't we just like kidnap and tourcher the directors we want to direct our video game adaptions and force them to make em good.
exactly yeah 28 days was much better, i thought they were joking when they said they were gonna bring out a sequel called 28 weeks later
