Analyst: GTA MMO could be 'enormously profitable' |

An MMO GTA? Can you imagine that? Janco Partners is certainly imagining it as it ponders on Take-Two Interactive's prospects at acquisition. Mike Hickey is of the opinion that given the proven success of the franchise, the company is a very enticing candidate for future acquisition.
As for the MMO bit, he said "We continue to believe a GTA MMO is a distinct and enormously profitable possibility if the IP is positioned with a well capitalized partner who has an exceedingly strong track record of MMO market success, development expertise and organizational infrastructure."
Say, like, Activision Blizzard, yes? We don't know if this is a prelude of sorts to a possible partnership, but it certainly is looking handsome if ever, yes?

Somewhat less then excited at this prospect. Could go either way I suppose, but first instinct says this would be horrible.

Lets just focus on the next DLC for now..
Then I would rob everyones houses, steal all their cars and take over liberty city...then I'd probably play this game and see what it's like
But seriously, it could totally change the 'mmo players are nerds' outlook a whole lot. I could just imagine that alot of people playing would be *****s and just kill everyone though
mmeh, i'd love it.
If they had a GTA MMO, it would outsell ever other game ever made. It would NEVER get boring like other games, because the environment would constantly be changing and so many things could happen to you... not just computer characters walking in the street, but real players walking around, driving around, etc... it would be insane. There would obviously be hundreds of people JUST trying to kill each other, but I'm sure other environments would be explored..I'm sure clans and such would build up GTA armies and have all out wars...the possibilities are just endless.
How about some damn DLC for GTAIV on the PS3?
GTA Online Multiplayer is enough for me.
I can imagine this being AMAZING, playing 'free mode' online with GTA IV is pretty damn addictive, so if i was able to be in a 'world' where there are 100's or whatever people running round setting each other on fire? Sounds like a plan, i've been hoping for GTA to become MMO for years.
Also, i'm sure Rockstar would keep a close eye to make sure it came out how they wanted.
Oh yeah, NO FINAL FANTASY taking turns CRAP please, thanks.
