Army of Two

In the recent issue of PSM, more details were spilled about Army of Two. It seems that Electronic Arts had something up its sleeve all this time. They just revealed how the motion-sensing tilt function will be used in their upcoming co-op shooter. While the 360 version is still set for next year, PS3 gamers would have some extra fun with the SIXAXIS.

Death from above: One use for the tilt function involves using the mortar. When you shoot a probe into the air, you're given a bird's eye view of the battle field. Then, by tilting the controller, you'd be able to aim at your targets by guiding the mortar onto your enemies.

On the dot: The tilt function will also be used when sniping. As the camera zooms into the scope of your rifle, you'd have to make sure that your controller is stable in order to get a clear shot of your target. You'd have to steady your hand to steady your aim.

Interesting, interesting. While both of these examples make the game that much more realistic, we're curious about the second one though. A simple work around to make your controller stable is to set it on top of the table. Doing so would always give you a clear shot every time, won't it?

For the Second one, it's more of a fun factor than an accuracy factor. If you put it on the table every time to make sure you make the shot, it takes out the fun and realism. The point of this is to be realistic and not make it harder to play. I think that's what they're aiming at.

They were trying to make a joke.

It's like using a turbo control rather than rapidly pressing the button as fast as you can.

Let's make the motion sensing to make games harder to control...

i would like to try the sixaxis controll but i don't think ican live without the rumble, games like COD series,HALO GOW etc.. are not the same without it... what i'm also scared about is the disconection... imagine, your buddie's life on the line, counting on you for that one head shot, and suddenlly, sixaxis disconnected and everything went hay wire... there goes the mission, there goes the world!...

connection issue has already been addressed in firmware updates. I haven't had it happen to me since (only twice before that too).

Resistance right now is the only game that uses it well and it does do a great job of integrating it into the game.

it's like your the guy shooting, I mean, normally in the games if you want to have "clear shots" you can sometimes take drugs or stuff, but in this game you'll have to be calm, I repeat, in this game YOU have to be calm! lol that's cool

but the mortar thing is useless...
