Fly and fight, Armored warriors of the night!

Always with those mysterious words, beckoning the end of an age, From Software and Sega really know how to keep a gamer intrigued, even if it's supposed to be just a mechanized third-person action game. America is in for another ride with one of the first US trailers for Armored Core 4, now intended for both Sony's PlayStation 3 and Microsoft's Xbox 360.

Opening once more with the enigmatic "In the myth, God is force" tagline, we're treated to even more of those very action-packed shots of the ACs taking on military installations. It's really impressive when you watch one AC fire forty missiles at a range of tank-style targets and see them all blow up. Whether we'll be doing that in the game is another matter entirely though.

There also seems to be a lot of flying action in this one, as you get to see a portion of gameplay that looks as if your mech is trying to storm the enemy installation amidst anti-aircraft fire. We're definitely hoping that's a part of the gameplay this time. Hovering was nice in the previous games, but all-out flying would be a nice new addition.

The file's a bit big, but it's manageable. It's two minutes of mechs and ominous orchestral chorus sounds, so  you can't say they aren't trying to evoke a mood. Enjoy the video, and pray they don't push the date back further!
