If you haven't had enough of our latest serving of the game's screenshots, well here are more of them. The game, in case you have no idea what it's about, is a sci-fi based, first-person shooter that will enable you to play as U.S. Army Ranger, Sgt. Nathan Hale.
U.S. and Britain band together in an effort to save Europe and Asia from a horrific scourge from the hands of the Chimera. In a few decades, the Chimera – a species of unknown origin has overrun Russia and all of Europe. As Nathan Hale, it's up to you to band together with what's left of humanity, and defend the world from the Chimera.
For now, we will let the game's screens speak for themselves.

Truly the game to get this holiday season for the PS3.

could it be that people are finally starting to realize that Sony isn't just out to get your money, and that they maybe want to give you a high qualit entertainment experience, and that the PS3 is definitely worth the hefty $500/$600 investment?
compared to the X Box 360 launch, the titles that are expected to launch with the PS3 blow them away in all shape and form. looking at the launch, and looking at what the 360 is putting out for this year, the battle is looking pretty sweet. if the PS3 can hold it's own this holiday season against the 360 and it's killer '06 titles, then it has a chance to remain number 1 for a third time in a row.
i can't help but have this suspicion that Microsoft played it's entire hand at E3 this year. they were blazing all guns with Huxley, Lost Planet, Crackdown, Gears of War, Dead Rising, Mass Effect. but what about the *future*? *thats* what concerns me. what exactly is coming out for the 360 *next* year? at least we know the PS3 is getting Assassin's Creed, Devil May Cry 4, Resident Evil 5 (though it may be multiplatform, as well as DMC4), Virtual Fighter 5, Tekken 6, the Naughty Dog Game (possibly), Heavenly Sword, Final Fantasy XIII, and MGS4, and who knows what else (Killzone PS3?). against that onslaught, what will the 360 have to counter it?
i can't wait for Tokyo Game Show, and maybe we'll find out. this is probably one of the best times to be a gamer in gaming history. everyone will be trying to outdo each other in terms of quality of titles, and we'll always be the ones that benefit (well, us and the multimillion dollar gaming companies that woo us to their titles).
oh yeah, and Resistance looks amazing. much better than what i played at E3 (but it was still very fun to play). the PS3 is going to be a great system. period.

There's no way for games to come out on HD-DVD.
so that means multiple DVDs versus single BD.
Which do you want to choose?:D

But in all seriousness, this game just looks incredible. Come launch it'll probably give Gears of War a run for its money.

I don't care how the developers make the game thats why L.E. games are pointless.

give me a fricking break already! i like Sony, yes. that's true. i also own an X Box and Gamecube, and i one day plan on getting an X Box 360 as soon as i'm sure that it's best titles *won't* be coming to the PC at some point (ie, Condemned, Call of Duty 2, Huxley, F.E.A.R, Oblivion), and Wii possibly also. that depends on if the content is more than just the same characters i've been playing on a Nintendo console since 1985.
the facts of the past ten years is that the Playstation brand has had the most games people have wanted to play. you want Castlevania? gotta have a Playstation. you want Metal Gear Solid? gotta have a Playstation. you want Final Fantasy, Sly Cooper, God of War, Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Shadow of the Colossus, Tekken, Virtua Fighter, Soul Caliber 3, Xenosaga, Zone of the Enders, Dragon Quest, GTA, Ico, Klonoa, Silent Hill (1 and 3), and many, many more? you have to have a Playstation. does that make me a Sony Fanboy because i want the largest library of video games available to me, regardless of graphical quality? no. that makes me a gamer. and so does owning all *3* consoles (meaning i'll have an even larger library of games to choose from, since i refuse to deny myself the pleasure of exploring Hyrule, studying the Tome of Eternal Darkness, weilding a lightsaber in KOTOR 1 and 2, and hacking the ***** out of some ninjas in Ninja Gaiden).
just because someone likes Sony and any other console for that matter doesn't make them a fanboy. comments like "WII4TEHWIN!!PS3SUCKS/BLOWS/ROCKS/360ISDASUXXORZZ! !" are true fanboy comments. stating why you like a console in an intelligent, rational manner, without resorting to dissing the other consoles is not.
also, you people don't have to bring up Gears of War every single time a Playstation 3 with even marginally nice graphics shows it's head. yes, we know Gears of War is beautiful (who's said it *isn't*? just wondering). yes, Mass Effect is beautiful (it's the one title that may convince me to purchase a 360 earlier than i planned). if graphics are so unimportant to you all, why must you constantly bring it up? what i find amusing is that it's been said (even by 360 fanboys) that the PS3 is on par with the 360 graphically (and with the possibility of surpassing it, but that doesn't matter), and yet, when a PS3 game finally shows that, yes. indeed it is capable of matching the 360 blow for blow, it's immediately dismissed as either being
A.) Pre-rendered cinemas
or
B.) Not as pretty as Gears of War/Mass Effect
are some of you so insecure with your 360 purchase that the fact that the PS3, coming out of the gate, is capable of graphics on par with the 360 that you must flip flop constantly on your stance against graphics? do they matter or not? if they don't matter, then it's not important that Resistance may not look as good as Gears of War, so why bring it up?
judging by the plethora of Gears of War comparisons made by 360 fans, graphics do matter. very much indeed. at least to them.
like i said: amusing.

So many Xbox haters just makes me laugh. Come to the realization that those graphics aren't that great jesus you kids are cumming your pants over something so stupid, its just another CoD2 except with aliens.
The graphics of these two consoles are so similar no one is really going to notice the difference between the two. It's games and I will tell ya what, Mass Effect/Gears of War are so past Playstation 3 it isn't funny so please stop defending this damn game that EVERYONE freaks out about.
Besides MGS4 I admit looks good, everyone is going "OMG this game is soooooo sweet OMG" Why don't you guys get past your blindness of your console and just realize this game isn't that freaking great, that graphics aren't even next gen. Jesus people. I will say this just like the lil fanboy's say about xbox360, "This game can be ran on PS2 OMGZ!11!" /flame on!

Kel...i just....i'm so confused.
you say, "The graphics of these two consoles are so similar no one is really going to notice the difference between the two."
but then, like, a sentence later, you go on to say,"Mass Effect/Gears of War are so past Playstation 3 it isn't funny so please stop defending this damn game that EVERYONE freaks out about."
so which is it? is the PS3 on par with the 360, or does the 360 blow away the PS3 so much it's not even funny? like i said. i'm confused.
as for Resistance, it *does* look great. and believe me, if Insomniac were the graphics whores that are the men at Epic (that's not a bad thing, by the way, people), i'm pretty sure Resistance would look exactly like Gears of War.
also, Kel. i actually *played* Resistance (you know, the act of holding a controller in your hand and manipulating objects on screen for your entertainment?), and it was very, very fun. which matters much, much more than purth graphics. what's funny, however, is that the E3 build looked *nothing* like the screenshots above, as a lot of effects (like lighting), hadn't been implemented yet. that still didn't kill my enjoyment of the title.
it just seems to me that X Box fanatics feel threatened by the fact that the PS3 is finally getting some good FPSes, and their precious X Box isn't the sole proprietor of great console first person shooters. it's okay, guys, really. the competition will force Microsoft to up their game, resulting in better products. we win. woo hoo! much like how the 360 is forcing Sony to up their game, resulting in better products. again, woo hoo!
the 360 and PS3 are graphical powerhouses with negligable differences in this first year. what that means is that each system will then be defined by the exclusives it holds. since the PS1, Sony has beefed up it's first party studios (i remember when Sony barely had any first party developers), and second party (like Insomniac and Naughty Dog), have already pledged support to Sony, even though they are free to develop for whom they please.
we're going to see, in the next year or so, Sony and Microsoft throw their cash about to secure more exclusives ( i think Sony is currently in negotions with Ubisoft to secure the rights to Assassin's Creed, which is why Ubisoft doesn't have anything more to say than, "So far, Assassin's Creed has been announced only for the Playstation 3," in regards to the titles exclusivity, because it's a non-commital answer until a resolution is reached, and it can still go either way: exclusive or multi-platform). and then there are certain third party developers that just don't really want to develop for Microsoft and an American console (Square-Enix gives the 360 Final Fantasy XI, but the PS3 is getting *TWO* core Final Fantasy series, and probably Kingdom Hearts 3 exclusively; Virtual Fighter 5 and Tekken 6 are PS3 exclusvie, and possibly Soul Calibur 4 as well. MGS4 is also exclusive, and that's really, Konami's main killer franchise next to Castlevania). while MS has the support of most American and UK developers, Sony has the support of American, UK, *and* Japanese developers, ultimately meaning more titles for the PS3, unless Mistwalker can convince a few million Japanese gamers to pick up a 360.

Sure I can't wait for Gears because I think it will be an awesome game and because I desperately need some games to play on my 360 (I mostly play halo2). All I'm saying is give this game the credit it deserves and stop acting like a fanboy and start acting like a gamer. Great games are great no matter what platform they are on. Take a page from figboy's comment, he managed to compliment 3 games in one comment, two which are coming out for the 360 and yet people called him a Sony fanboy.
Fanboy defense mechanism is a disease. Stop the virus from spreading from you.
