Alone in the Dark - Image 1Framerate issues. That's pretty much what is keeping the PlayStation 3 version of Atari's Alone in the Dark from being released alongside the PlayStation 2, Wii, Windows, and Xbox 360 versions.

Producer Nour Polloni was candid enough to say that even though they already have the full game running on the PS3, the game's performance is still hampered by framerate issues.

"We didn’t want it to come out and have less of an experience for the PS3 gamer," said Polloni. "We wanted to tweak that up and make sure they get the best experience on PS3 as much as possible.”

She further added that although delays are tough, PS3 owners will find the game to be well worth the wait. Polloni also reiterated that while a firm release date has yet to be set, the game's PS3 version will be coming out this year.

Nah.

It was delayed because it didn't want to get swept under the floor like DBZ: Burst Limit. Nobody would be playing that game since MGS4 comes out soon.

Oh c'mon!!!

Typical PS3 fanboy words right there. Its people like you that makes retards smarter every day and midgets even taller lmao

Anyways, if lag is the case, then it looks like I'll just pass up on the PS3 version and get me a 360 version.

haha

ill just pass up the game entirely.

mediocre devs

I'll play on PC anyway since PC gaming is *free*, lol. I only buy the games I really loved, or where it's needed to play online.

Bundle of reasons

I'm fairly sure that the truth is more a mix of both previously mentioned reasons; a mix of having technical issues as well as not wanting to be left in the shade of the upcoming MGS tittle.

There was also talk of additional content to compensate for the waiting period.

No, Atari Needs Alone In The Dark Good.

After such lackluster sales of many of Atari's games they need to get Alone In The Dark right. I hope they do take their time and make it good. The video they have released so far looks promising and it would be a shame to not have a great experience because of frame rate issues. I will probably get this game if it is truely as good of what the video showed.

Not bad

Honestly, I didnt see how that opinion made you a fanboy at all. Nothing you've said has indicated any bais towards a PS3 version... so I have no idea what "adamantius snake" was trying to attack you on. Anyway, you could be right. Or it could be that those developers werent very good at utilizing the Cell or the SDK. I personally think it was probably developed for the PC, 360... and is trying to be ported over to the PS3. PC/360 gaming are alike, and both controlled by MS, so its not suprising. DBZ burst limit was swept under the floor bc Tenkaichi 3 was just way better IMO. Either way, im not a fanboy... im a realist.

ah well

its what happens when you make you game come out for nealy every console the ps3 is bound to suffer due to its different processor makeup

lol

DBZ: burst limit sucks ballz, i tried the demo...

by 93pauott - 2008-06-01 12:52
huh?

what do you mean?

if you are talking about online: you just have to pay for internet if you have a x360, the ps3's net is free.

if you are talking about downloading the game over the interwebzzzz: then it's free!

I hope they meant we'll get bonus stuff

But I'm pretty sure they'll just be late... Man, the devs are sleeping or what?
