Free Aerosmith Guitar Hero 3 DLC now up for grabs - Image 1Timezones are always a tricky thing. Especially when it comes to the downloading of online content, mostly because you have to keep checking between PST and Central and all the other times out there.

Well, there's one piece of downloadable content that should be available right now, and if you're a fan of Activision's Guitar Hero 3,  then you probably should scramble onto the PlayStation Network and grab it ASAP.

The downloadable track up for grabs is Aerosmith's "Dream On" and it comes to PS3 gamers absolutely free. It'll remain free for people to pick up until February 18, so you guys better hurry.

The reason for this new track? Well, it's simply because there haven't been any Aerosmith songs on the game yet... and the fact that they're coming out with Guitar Hero: Aerosmith in June.

In any case, head on over to the PlayStation Network and grab your free goodies as soon as you can. Enjoy!

sony take the piss when it comes to the eu, we paid slightly more and still we have been neglected, we have to wait 3 months before a game that comes out in america to come here on the network, if they want to beat m$ then they have to start releasing worldwide, i know that with all the piss taking their doing i would prefer to go m$ even though i have a 360 and prefer the ps3 due to it being alot better. i see why xbox live is far better. ps when the ***** is pain coming out

there is an aerosmith song in guitar hero 3..

evidently you haven't played the game, mr. writer man.

and who the hell decided a guitar hero: aerosmith would be a good idea?

next thing it'll be guitar hero: the white stripes.

jesus.

atleast give us some GOOD music to play.

aerosmith's guitarist is mediocre at best.

How does this have anything to do with Sony? If Activision and GH3 devs didn't make a European version of the song then you're not going to get the song because downloadable content is region locked. If you don't believe me, try making a North American PSN account and download the free songs. If you have a European version of the game they won't work. So who submits content to Sony for them to put up on the Playstation Store? The developers do. Do you think it's Sony's responsibility to take the content submitted for one region and convert the region of the content to every other region? No, that should be the simple responsibility of the developers to satisfy the consumer.

# yeah but...pphheerroonn1 2008-02-16 13:51
i never blamed sony specifically for the guitar hero dlc but the eu store in general is was more neglected. sony use the excuse that for the eu store content has to be made available in multiple languages while they could just release it in the english speaking areas of the eu which they do with some content, its just unfair how we pay more and get less.

But you can still make a North American PSN account and you'll be able to access all the same content except for region locked content such as downloadable content.

I live in Canada and even though our dollar is on par with the U.S. dollar(and we're right next to the U.S.) we still have to pay more for pretty much everything on the Playstation Store.
