I want me demo!

Can't wait much to get your hands on Prototype (PS3, Xbox 360, PC), or at least a demo of it? Unfortunately, we have not-so-great news for all you awaiting fans out there. Activision has sent out an email confirming that there will be no pre-release demo arriving for either the PSN or XBL.

No reason was given as to why they opted not to give a little taste for gamers, but we're pretty sure there's a darned good reason for it. Well, at least there better be. Prototype ships out on June 9th, so maybe we'll still see a demo after this date. After all, they did explicitly say no "pre" release demo only.

I hope there's at least some kind of demo, even if it is after the release date. Though the way they made it sound, I doubt there'll be one at all.

Anyways, look what InFamous did. Granted the demo turned some people off, it made a lot of hype and got a lot more people into it, myself included, who didn't even look at the game till that point.

All I hear about right now is InFamous vs Prototype, so to be honest, I think it's a dumb move not releasing a demo for people to find which they like more, assuming they're only picking up one of them. Gives more props right now to InFamous, if you ask me.

Keep in mind infamous demo wasn't nearly as good as the main game. I think Activision is not releasing this for sales, knowing full well "if you want to play this, you're going to have to buy it or rent it". Having the actual release game with no pre-release demo might be better so you don't get a bad experience and change your mind. Either way, both prototype and infamous were super power games and similar but has differences. I think Prototype will be superior but that's just me. While it sucks I can't try it out before, it's not biggie was going to buy it anyway.
