Accessories4Technology's PS3 Wheel launching soon |
Ó
In case you weren't aware that such a peripheral is being offered, this compact racing wheel is said to be coming out on the 19th of June, 2009. No info, though, as to the pricing. Wonder if this will work well with Gran Turismo 5... Oh wait, I wonder when Gran Turismo 5 will be coming out.

Looks pretty batmobile-esk.
I hadn't noticed the battiness of it until you mentioned it. Now it looks obvious.
The problem is that Sixaxis is a littly crappy when it comes to reaction time. I wouldn't use it for steering at al.
I wonder how the triggers feel like that. And what if you need R1 or L1? You need to squeeze your fingers upward. No I say ew.
This kinda things usually blow hard but this actually looks pretty cool
*****ing hell they put in a lot of effort on that thing
its not like you could just bend a small metal pole into a circle (or find one ready bent) and selotape a pad to it, is it?
wow, looks liek a Wiiwheel.... in black....
it restricts your access to trigger buttons, as noted above; there is no base, so you would actually have to maintain a grip to steer , instead of just letting it sit there, while you paid attention to the road. the only "racing game" i would use this with is toy home. game is fun btw.
if this is going to be used for racing games how are we going to accel and decel or shift gears the buttons seems hard to reach.
Actually i can see this fitting quite nicely in my hands, now using the sixaxis for steering is another story as we all know it isn't the snappiest of motion sensors..
I would rather have the wheel as a separate controller all together and have it mounted like a real car so you can freely spin it with one hand like a real car. Also separate accelerator and brake pedals at least. Even a shifter.
This looks really bad...
I went to the site and watched the video and it looks like the L1 and R1 keys are easily accessible. You can kind of see it in the pics but more in the video. If you have really big fingers though, i'm not quite as so sure.
Since it is for Racing games I'm sure you can reach the Triggers comfortably since it's obviously for racing games where you use the triggers the most. It maybe doesn't look like you can reach them good but I't sure you can.
well it atleast won't take up as much space as the 360 one.
Saw one of these in HMV the other day, looks quite cool, but I'd never get one
