A New Chapter For Mortal Kombat Expected On PS3 |

Mortal Kombat, the popular fighting game series originally created by Acclaim Entertainment in 1989, will have its final battle between good and evil as creative director Ed Boon made some startling announcement: Mortal Kombat: Armageddon (on Xbox and PS2) will be the final chapter of the story. Boon said, "This is the last Mortal Kombat on this generation of consoles, and we also wanted to end this kind of fighting mechanic for Mortal Kombat."
But this doesn't mean the now-coming to Wii title is the final game for the series: Boon did say that Mortal Kombat will have another next-gen game, this time on the PS3. Sad news is that some characters will be eliminated for the upcoming PS3 Mortal Kombat. But you guys shouldn't be spilling tears for them as they will be replaced with new characters, along with a new fighting system. The Mortal Kombat team has plans of taking advantage of the cool features of the next-gen console and provide players with new presentation and new graphics. Every aspect of the untitled Mortal Kombat for PS3 is going to be totally brand new.
Boon, however, didn't gave the list of characters who will be eliminated and retained. However, the new characters are surely something to look forward to, right? By the way, the image above is not the actual next-gen image but we will definitely keep our eyes peeled for spanking new images for the upcoming title of Mortal Kombat on PS3.

yesterday it was the price comparason of 360 vs ps3
today its posting that the new mk is comming to ps3 but makes no mention that the ORIGINAL news bit on IGN stated that it was NEXT GEN consoles.. not just the ps3
is the ps3 losing so much popularity that it needs lies to keep it in the eyes of gamers?
i already would advise everyone to NOT buy a first gen ps3 as sony is known to have more problems with its first gen shipments then its later systems. the fact that ps3 is rumored to have so many problems now makes me even more worried. sorry sony. $600 is going to 360/wii and 360 part has already been taken care of.

Sony may have a few problems at launch, but all consoles do. Microsoft did, and still are. Heating problems at frist, then disc scratches, then ring of death, now games causing the ring of death and crashes for no reason cept being rushed products. Sonys problems for the ps1 and 2 were the laser diodes first and formost, well besides the first bacth having no reagion codes built in. But those problems exist in all cd products. Cd's run at a constant low speed so they last longer, consoles run at half-near max speeds for loading and such. DVD's are the worse, the laserdiode for dvd's is inheritatedly crippled by short life spans. Although, I havnt had any problems with my PS1/PS2 since i got them when they first came out. Even with heavy use. My xbox was given to me and fixed by me after a disc read error, my brother beat his ps2 and ended up with the same. The cube, the only problem i have is when i switch it to another tv and accidtnly plug in the xbox plug and get only black n white no sound games. 600 dollars is worth it to me, i can go get a game, and another controller and be set for 700 easy. No online fees to worry about or anything. I agree withthe price comparison article that was posted earlier completley. But its about the consumers mind point, we can easily hit up mcdonalds a few times aday everyday and spend over a 120 dollars a week on their food and not even know it cause its small transations over a few days. I see the xbox360 choice system the same, you buy the core, get an acceory here, an added funtion there, and fi you go for the full package youll spend more over time for all the standard functions of the ps3, not even including online.
My point is this, be thankfull your getting good and bad up front, not all of its true but thats for you to figure out. If you want to save money, then weigh your options, functions, and needs. Even if your brain tells you that lots of small numbers are better than one big one.
