A montage of matchups for Tekken 6

Ó

Tekken 6 (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PSP) is all over the news today! Here's another vid, and this time, it's my kind of video. This one's a montage of a few matchups, showing characters exchange combos. By combos, I mean real ones, not just plainly doing the ones you can find on the command list. Hope you guys like this one as much as I did.

First up is the Mishimas' idea of father-son bonding. By bonding, they mean, "my knuckles, bonding with your jaw." Kazuya didn't even get to land one in when Jin went to business. Then there's the Williams sisters trading juggles, but Anna got the worst out of the exchange after the floor gave while Nina was going to work.

Bob's combos look pretty good, and for a fat guy, he moves pretty fast. Really looking forward to playing him on a controller. Then last we have Christie and Asuka, where the Christie-user demonstrated the precise, non-button-mashed combos that Christie should be doing, not the random twirling that some people tend to do.

» IS IT?

IS THAT THE GRAPHICS ON THE PSP?

» Nothing new

Any real Tekken player knows about these kinds of things already, so nothing surprising here. Tekken 6 has a bounce system, which will make air combos all too easy. That's a bad thing and good thing, depending on your stand on Tekken.

This video is obviously not the PSP version, because though it's coming to the PSP, it's not going to be for a while. And there are a bunch of Tekken 6 vids out there already, and I think all of them are from the arcade versions.

didnt u read one of the earlier articles for this? they're releasing the PS3, PSP, and 360 versions at the same time.

but i would say that it isnt the psp, i know DR had good graphics, but that video seems too detailed to be on the PSP

» it looks great...

I'm looking forward to this release. I'll have the PSP and PS3 versions.

» Um.

I'm a "real" Tekken player. I didn't like bound at first in Tekken 6, but when they toned down the damage and changed it from low parry I was happy with it. Besides VF5 has it and combos in there do upwards of %70 damage and are "easy". Damage in Bloodline Rebellion without walls is actually looking like less compared to some staples in T5 DR.

Who else is happy that Jin is looking mad sick in T6? Can't wait to play him.

» Hey!

I thought they announced awhile back that the Bloodline Rebellion version was also the version they were releasing on the PS3. That was the version I was most looking forward to, unless they changed the plain Tekken 6 with the same features or something, I still hope for B.R. on PS3.

» This is BR.

They just changed the name of it to Tekken 6. It's still Bloodline Rebellion and PSP is getting BR as well.

» I hope your right

Anyway I still am looking forward to this game.
