There are hundreds of reasons why MAG is as massive as its name - 256 to be exact. If you still can't paint the picture in your head as to how awesome this game is, Zipper Interactive let out a little preview of what awaits you and a truckload of your pals when MAG makes its move to PS3s everywhere.

» MAG Beta Horrible

I paid 25 bucks just to get the Qore subscription, but really it was 25 bucks to get in the MAG Beta and Qore was just a fringe benefit for me. Too bad it was the biggest waste of money in awhile. The hours are way too short and ONLY Monday - Friday, no weekend games! Also, I have NEVER been able to play. Every time I try to load the game up, it gets to the games available list then freezes my PS3. Ever since I downloaded and tried to play this game, my PS3 seems to hate me now. I go the new Home update, can't load that either because it freezes. Games and movies are fine but neither of those "games" load now. So dissapointing. Hopefully the full version isn't this bad.

» home freezing...

if your home is freezing in the initializing....then go to home and delete it....not your data just the app itself.... then re download it.... that will fix that... it happpened to alot of people

Give it a try again some time. Other than the horrifically long download at the beginning, I haven't had any issues getting in to a game.

I personally think it's a lot of fun, but it's definitely different than any other on-line shooter I've played before.

» BETA

Man its a beta. If I was worked at zipper and I read that I would be pissed that noobs like devi59 even had access to the beta because of comments just like that. You have people who have no idea what beta means who play the game then get on the internet to tell everyone how buggy it is how bad of a game it gonna be. Not trying to flame you I just using your comment as a point. And my point is that if you are lucky enough to get in a beta or buy your way into one dont be surprised by bugs or problems you might come across.

» So much...

Noise and whistle about this game and it's pretty much another Call Of Duty-like game - there is nothing new. vizard00 - Agreed!

» i"m not a fps fan too

but MAG seems to be more chaotic and seems to deliver a fresh new edge to this over saturated fps game

» Generic at best

Very boring game, graphics may change from the beta to when it goes gold but gameplay won't and this is where MAG lacks most. I've read more people sy the game is boring, unoriginal and not refreshing than I have seen saying the game is as good as the hype even in the beta forums.

256 plays is a gimmic it does nothing for the gameplay imo it doesn't make it racier or more fun it's just there and thats it. You never see any more than 5 maybe 6 people at any given time which is just the same as any other shooter so it never feels as if there is 256 players playing it doesn't make it feel like a real battle or war it just feels the same as every other fps out there from battlefield to call of duty except in my opinion much more boring and I amongst many others I've talked to find nothing refreshing and or fun about MAG, not nearly as much as I was hoping there was for such a hyped PS3 exclusive.

The way people picked apart Killzone 2 there's no doubt in my mind the same thing will happen with MAG it'll be ripped to shreds and people will forget and move on waiting for the next big thing.
