Faith and a .45 is officially on hold - Image 1

Can't say I heard of this game. Probably because it was announced to exist and was never heard of again. But for those of you who do know it, Faith and a .45 (360, PS3) is officially delayed because its studio, Deadline Games, can't find a publisher for the game.

Awwww....? The art has me intrigued, so I go surfing and educate myself on the game. The story centers on gun-toting couple Luke and Ruby, two outlaws during the Great Depression off to rob banks across the Western United States. Kinda like a Kane and Lynch thing, only with a hot chick? I'm sold.

Hopefully this doesn't enter production limbo. That's almost as good as canning it. Maybe they should see if EA is interested. They've been picking up some great titles lately.

» stupid QJ.

If the author of this story would have actually done his job as a reporter, he would have grabbed the details about this game and questioned why there were no publishers that wanted this AAA title. There is a cinematic trailer that shows actual in-game video. It, of course, looks like every other top notch 3rd person shooter out there, using an active cover system similar to the first adopers, "Rainbow Six: Vegas," and "Gears of War." The game looks bad-ass, but unfortunately they are playing all the wrong cards to get a publishing house to take them (Deadline Games) to the top. This is just another reason indie developing houses never get the attention they deserve. There are too many already successful game developers out there, not lending a hand. This title will probably never see itself on your tv.

You would think the title alone would grab a publishers attention.

» Yeah

Rainbow Six: Vegas and Gears were not the first games to have an active cover system. Kill Switch (PS2, Xbox) and Perfect Dark: Zero both had them.
