A Glowing Playstation Live Article.. From Team Xbox?

It must be opposite day or something, quick look outside and you might just see cows jumping over the moon, and maybe even a litter of pigs chasing after them. Why? Well it seems the guys at Team Xbox have put together an article that rather succinctly sums up the threat of Sony's rumored Xbox Live killer. You know you have to read it when the article comments:

"Xbox fanboys, stop reading now, because we don’t have good news."

"After E3, the ground will shatter as the PlayStation 3 launch date is unveiled. No one, not even Microsoft, will be able to stop the PlayStation 3 launch and you can bet it will be successful. Sony will sell, not[sic]matter the price, PS3s like hot cakes; here, in the old continent and obviously in Asia."

HUH?

Alright, alright, to be fair the article is rather well written and speaks of legitimate threats to Xbox Live as the dominant online console gaming service. It serves as something of a reality check for Xbox fans, and an ego trip for Sony supporters. Keep in mind the majority of the article is speculation, but the fact that it's coming from such an unlikely source makes it seem strangely poignant.

I think that it is important to point out that Sony is an elitist company, and therefore, people will keep buying their products. As far as electronics go, Sony is similar to Jaguar or BMW. Expensive, but definately a statment.

I jus finished reading the article...and i'm feeling worried..for both Microsft and Sony...I wish they would focus more on gaming...maybe it is just me...but I really don't care about all the features the ps3 *could* supply me with or what the 360 *could* supply me with...I'm buying these consoles for games...



Even though if these features come to reality for the ps3...I'd still want the games to be the best.

The games will be up to the developers. The online content, media, and features will all be up to Sony, thus, the games will not suffer. Its like having a pc with tons of updtaes and stuff to do on it. The games will still be the focus of the developers, just perhpas a little more interest in MMORPG elements is all.

Just because the guy works for a xbox site doesn't mean hes an xbox fanboy. There will defo still be fanboys around. In order of how bad fanboys are it would probably go nintendo,sony then MS. I imagine its to do with the targeted age groups, nintendo being young ppl, sony being from young to old but mostly keeping it somewhere in between and xbox being older people. I had all the last generation of consoles, if im being honest xbox was the best since, ps2 didnt feel complete and gamecube only shined for rese evil 4 and party games. I plan on owning all 3 this time, the guy makes some good points, but its wether sony have the time and resources to meet the deadline.

Team Xbox has always complimented the other systems, yet they get constant mudslinging on their end. So this is unsuprising: they know the in-and-outs of the industry, they've done their homework, and they won't make claims they can't back up. That's what I like about them. Then Sony goes and acts like a jackass and decides to piss all over the competition. Give it a break you *****s.



The only thing that benefited from this article was the fact that HAL was used in the Playstation World image. Then I realize that the words of one of Sony's products is on it, and I am immediately disgusted. Go Sony. You ignorant bastards.



And to state a few facts to (hopefully) stop a few Sony worshipping fanboys from shouting "insults" at me, I'm neither an Xbox or Nintendo fanboy. Well, maybe slightly Nintendo, but I grew up with them, so ***** off. I don't even own an Xbox or an Xbox 360, and neither have enough quality titles for me to be interested in. So ***** off.

I think the fan boyism of companies grows with age lol, nintendo,sony,M S in the order they joined the market. I love nintendo, im starting to like MS but im pretty sure I hate sony. But as per usual its a love hate relationship. I was anoyed with my ps2 lack of features, sonys lying and overpomising etc. But I loved my ps2 when I was on games like ff10, metal gear solid 2 and 3. I hate sony for always lying, but I end up giving in and getting ther console anyway. Same reason I got gamecube and xbox. Its these god damn killer apps.

I think the additional functionality could potentially expand the realm of gaming. I don't think we need to worry about gaming disappearing or getting the short stick, it always has and always been driven by gamers and game makers. As long as there's a demand, there will always be companies lining up to produce harware for it.
