Grateful Dead - Image 1Here's some good news for Deadheads of all ages. Harmonix and MTV Games have signed a deal with Warer's Rhino Entertainment division to bring 18 classic Grateful Dead tracks to Rock Band (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360).

The Dead will be making 18 of its master recordings available as downloadable game levels following Rock Band's expected Holiday 2007 release. Gamers will be able to jam along with classic Dead tracks such as Truckin', Uncle John's Band, Casey Jones and Sugar Magnolia.

The band joins Rock Band's still-increasing roster of artists offering downloadable multi-track master recordings for the game. Thrash metal pioneers Metallica have already signed up, and The Who have agreed to make their Who's Next album as the first full album scheduled for digital download.

» Now invite over 12 of your friends . . .

So that you can replicate the GD true to rights, with 3 drummers, 5 guitarists, 2 basists, and 2 tamborine players. Yay, with this many instruments, its BOUND to sound good.

lol
