Activision's Marvel Ultimate Alliance is already in stores, and this video should convince anybody else who hasn't gotten the game to go and get it now.
  • 1080p. You can really see the details on a character - the skin (er, rock) of the Thing, the sheen off Iron Man and off Wolverine's claws. The experience is really realistic. Objects really pop out of the screen in a way that's never been seen before.
  • A true gaming experience. Thrilling, immersive, and so believable. The graphics are every hardcore gamer's dream - and with the best heroes the Marvel Comics universe can offer - *faints* my heart can only take so much. It looks like a movie, and when you play it, you ARE THE MOVIE. Amazing. In 1080p splendor... *brain explodes*
  • Sixaxis. The Sixaxis tilt/sensor features are also used in the game. There are scenes like the Galactus fight where the movement of your Sixaxis controls the movement of your hero (in the Galactus fight, you use Silver Surfer, of course).
There are also five bonus villain missions - because it's more fun to play the bad guy.

We'll update these download links as soon as we can so you can get the MOV files.

Dude theres almost no difference between 1080p and 1080i unless you sit like 4 feet away from the tv. If you dont have the money to buy a 1080p tv, then buy a 720p or 1080i, or 480p or whatever you want. You can play it on any tv.

» well

personally i think 720p is still good enough at this point. I don't think any broadcasters are airing television content at 1080p, and I know i've read of devs saying that memory limitations were going to limit 1080p use.

» The difference is incredible

1080i has the image clarity of 1080p IF the deinterlacing is good.

But the difference between 30FPS and 60FPS is dramatic.

In full motion sequences, 60FPS show very smooth playback. You have get 60FPS with 1080i because 1080i@60FPS is the same as 1080p@30FPS.

You have to see it in action to get a good comparison.

» watch carefully

It's really easy to see when it switches into game mode or cinematic mode.

also, you can't see anything about 1080p on a youtube video.

» Noobs

U must be blind fanboy if u cant see diffences in 1080i and 1080p

by CSFFlame - 2006-11-21 14:34
» very well

if you are so intelligent what is the difference?

Suppose I took 2 still screen captures, one at 1080i(2frame merge deinterlaced) and one at 1080p, what would let you tell them apart?

by Vietone - 2006-11-22 03:04
» 360 wins

and thats why this game looks exactly the same on the 360 for half the cost. 1080i looks just like 1080p.

» Simple idea for sixaxis

Use the sixaxis for controlling the camera angle only

Otherwise a stolen Wiidea.
