THE place to beAs soon as you read this post, get your behind moving to the nearest Circuit City store near you to be ahead of the pack. That's because on November 16th, six of their branches will be giving you guys a chance to have your own PS3, a day earlier than the rest.

Here's how it goes. Starting at 8:00 p.m., the event starts. Although, we're definitely sure you'd want to get there early. Inside the stores await 100 units of your much-awaited PS3, all available for purchase. By 10:00 p.m., the first 100 people in line will be handed vouchers. And come midnight, it's a free for all (or at least for the first 100 people) as the doors to Circuit City open, and you can now buy the next-gen console.

Now, if you didn't get there fast enough to be part of the lucky bunch, don't mope because you still have a chance to win one. Five of those stores will be giving away five PS3s each - operative terms: giving away - while the Union Square store will be spreading the love with 100 units! Is that cool, or what?

The six Circuit City stores about to make your dreams come true are the following:
  • Union Square store no. 3679, Union Square, New York, NY
  • Torrance store no. 404, Hawthourne, Los Angeles, CA
  • Cherry Hill store no. 0734, Mount Laurel, Philadelphia, NJ
  • Schaumburg store no. 3111, Schaumburg, Chicago, IL
  • Rockville store no. 866, Rockville, Washington, MD
  • Short Pump store no. 3549, Richmond, Richmond, VA
The local radio stations on the aforementioned sites will be part of the event, announcing the contest winners and handing out T-shirts.

So what are you waiting for? Get your game on!

» AAA (triple A) level piece of writing

First off, kids, when you write anything, only write actual facts and not personal and subjective opinions, such as your own thoughts or fondness towards something. Otherwise your piece of writing becomes garbage and will be attacked by other @tarded kids.

This is a factual analogy of ‘Resistance: Fall of Man Vs. Gears of War’. I’m mentioning here that this writing only contains facts; so kids, don’t even try to argue with me. Facts can’t be argued with.

At 1Up.com, 4 lifeless jack@sses called game editors have played Gears for more than 40 hours just now. I usually don’t have to deal with 3rd rated folks like these game reviewers because I only associate with far higher people only in my real life; anyway, these trash-like folks can be useful if you want to buy a game; and want to know the scores of the game before buying it. Their review scores are as follows (all 4 of them have played both Resistance and Gears hours and hours during these recent months). 3 reviewers said that Resistance is far better than Gears. 1 reviewer said that he’s not sure and he’ll give 50 to 50 score. As I said, these 3rd rated pitiful folks actually have played both games hours and hours; therefore, their reviews on the games are incomparably more accurate than you kids’ impressions because all you bark is based on watching videos and screenshots. Most of you kids who write comments online say that which one is better than another; your comments are worthless due to the fact that your comments are just opinions. This is why most of you kids who visit QJ and other gaming sites have trash like lives in reality because you kids can’t even write some decent piece of essay; if your writing skills are like that, you can’t even graduate university or college.

Let’s take an example of Resistance. When there’re 42 players in a game online, even when the actions are hottest and most intense, the frame rate of the game never goes down below 30 fps. Insomniac (the developer) has tested it and officially announced this result.

Here, we need another example of Gears. When there’re 8 players in a game online, we usually have between 25 to 30 fps. When the scenes are full of action, the game’s frame rate dips down below 10 fps. In the gaming industry, people use some prevalent terms to describe such games: slide shows, stutter-fest, et cetera.

If you are not satisfied with 1Up’s reviews which (1Up) is world’s biggest gaming magazine company (GameSpot and IGN both are bigger but they don’t publish magazines like 1Up does), then here’s another example of another world class gaming publication, Famitsu. Famitsu is notoriously famous for giving low review scores. Resistance got 8.25 from them. We can guess here that this score will be the lowest score any other publications will give, read on to find out why. Japanese people are traditionally not interested in first person killer games, everybody knows that moreover as I just said, Famitsu gives very low review scores and this publication became famous for this fact.

I’m surprised that Microsoft will not release Xbox 450 in the near future when the Garbagebox 360 is a rushed and failed product. Resistance is the next Half Life 3 when Gears is just another Lost Planet (what a stupid choice for a game’s name, lost cause). A ‘B graded’ game like Gears can’t even be compared with a ‘triple A game’ like Resistance. As I said once before earlier in this writing, all sentences here are facts; you can’t just argue with facts, kids; just deal with facts and take them.

» Uhh

Well on the topic of Gears of War vr. Resistance this is definately a cool thing to hear. Your attack on the general populus of the site however is a little condescending and rude. This is mostly because there are both the flamers and some people with intelligent opinions here, and really nobody forces anyone to read what is below the articles.

Don't know why you chose this story as where you'd like to post since its about a special launch going on at Circuit City, but whatever.

Thanks for the insight but you can give us that news from ground level and not from up on your high horse.

» what

so it's really still just a midnight release and they're just lining up the day before...? whatttt

by JJ - 2006-11-05 11:57
» re:what

Yes, basically its not released a day early, it just released at midnight. The line for this will probably start at least 1 day prior. One good thing about this that you know they will have 100 units, some stores might not tell you. I hope I am wrong about that, but they had an article about best buy doing that.

by ERMAC - 2006-11-05 11:58
» I will telll you why....

I work At Circuit City and the thing is that east and west for circuit city are money makers, they make the most profit out of all the Circuit Citys. My store(Michigan) dont have the numbers and volume of people coming to the stores like they do.I used to work in the connecticut store, and that store has WAY more people than us.Or maybe we are just not lucky like they are.....specially store 3549 which is right next to HQ.

by d black - 2006-11-05 13:49
» so then

only these 6 locations will have the 100 units though right? it doesn't apply to all circuit city stores then. i guess i'll have to check out the union square circuit city on the 16th.
