It looks like the rumors are true. Eidos Interactive has announced that it will be releasing Wacky Races: Crash & Dash on the Nintendo Wii and DS this June 2008.
Based on the Hanna-Barbara cartoon which originally came out in 1968, the game has all eleven characters and vehicles including Peter Perfect's Turbo Terrific, Penelope Pitstop's Compact Pussycat, and even the Slag Brothers' Bouldermobile.
Much like the cartoons, players are tasked with winning a set number of races in the hope of being crowned the world's wackiest racer. To help accomplish this goal, various power-ups are available to help speed up your vehicle or take down other vehicles.
