I was seriously addicted to the GBA Pokemon games, but so far I've been steadfastly resisting the urge to buy any of the DS titles. This video certainly doesn't help my cause any, though. Having my starter follow me around is just awesome.

i was addicted to these games too damn i cant wait i think ill play through shiny gold beta5 and liquid crystal to warm up im SO DAMN PUMPED ^_^
I spent 280 hours on Silver and had almost every Pokemon. Except Selebii, if I remember correctly a Polyking and Vaporeon. I got dumped by my girl because of this game so it's been my favorite. A remake is a definite worth buy.
I guess they're going to have the whole Pokemon follow you thing. The size of this game must be 2X the other Pokemon games considering the graphics and the 2 regions.

180 hours not 280. I hope that it doesn't take a year after the Japanese release for it to be released in the US.
I remember when I first got Blue on my Gameboy brick. My grades went to shet, I became secluded in my room... I would do horrible horrible things for people to help me evolve my Haunter into a Gengar. Finally my closest friends and family gathered me in the living room one day and asked me to seek help. No, none of that actually happened, but yea that game consumed my life.

i agree my grades went to shiit when i got this game, but i was in grammar school so it was okay. but i actually got every single pokemon on the gold version, and the save file lasted until my second year of college until my DUMBASS roommate decided he wanted to play and saved over my game, needless to say he still lived but his gameboy wasnt so lucky so had survived.
