We all know that there is an option on the Wii's Mii Channel to connect it to the DS. What we didn't know is that it's been lying asleep in the Wii's Mii Channel firmware right from the very start!

Wanna know how to unlock it right now? It's simple, just follow these steps and you're good to go:
  • Go to your Mii Channel with your DS turned on (any model should be fine)
  • Press the following keys in correct sequence:A, B, 1,hold down 2
  • Unlock finished!
Simple as one-two-three, yes? Some folks who have tried it says that the button combo also makes it a permanent feature on your Mii Channel as well, even when you turn your Wii off and go back in to the Channel.

Well, time to test it yourselves now. But before you do, you might want to check out the whole process in the video below:

I don't think this works on any DS model. My guess is it was implemented in the last firmware update in anticipation for the DSi (which is what it looks like is being used in the video). I tried it with my crimson/black DS Lite and got squat.

The Mii channel does have that feature, yes... but it won't find my DS. Anybody getting positive results with a standard DS Lite?

By the way, it does keep the option there even when you turn off the Wii.

Okay... did some research and this feature IS game specific. A DS alone won't allow you to do anything with it, but a DS and specific games let you do cool things.

The only game that supports this feature right now is DS Personal Trainer: Walking (only available in Japan) but we can look forward to some cool Mii-interconnectivi ty in the future.

This could have been a cool feature if Nintendo didn't limit it to 2 games.

That would be sweet if Nintendo could do with the DS what sony did with the PSP remote play, but you can't count on Nintendo for anything.
