Mumbai attacks - Image 1We all heard what happened as insurgents thrashed Mumbai, leaving at least a hundred people dead, and several others injured. One of those who were injured was Michael Rudder, who suffered three gunshot wounds. Thanks to prompt medical attention and surgery, he's now out of harm's way and is recovering.

The Canadian voice actor was in the restaurant of the Oberoi hotel when the militants attacked. After getting hit, he was "take to the hospital. He did have surgery [that was] very successful," said Bobbie Garvey, VP of the US-based Synchronicity Foundation. "He was in intensive care for a while, but he is very stable and he is healing at the moment."

Rudder's experience with games include voice acting for Assassin's Creed (Xbox 360, PS3) and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3.

Good to hear he's alright. That's one more reason to be thankful on Thanksgiving. We wish him a speedy recovery.

Honestly, who gives a ***** about this?

All of a sudden with this being the latest thing to talk about we go to this length in order to fill a news slot item?

Seriously, who gives a *****?

What's next?

"ID Software Legend stubs toe in the bathroom"

Let the mainstream media crap on about terrorism, no need to drag that ***** into a gaming site as well for your 15 seconds of 'me too!' fame.

» Well..

The fact is, it is video game related....and maybe is a revelation that this industry isn't totally seperated from real world events...

What if this was the voice actor for Fenix of Gears fame and he died, wouldn't gears 3 be awesome without Fenix, or some totally different voice....?

On a lighter note....he will probably be in big demand now for acting out the sounds when people get shot....
