More fire has been added to the issue of video games influencing gamers' behavior. A recent report from KCTV tells of a Kansas teenager who strangled his little sister after she interrupted him while he was playing Bioshock (Xbox 360 and PC).The teenager, Sean Conner, told KCTV the following: "I get really into my games and when BritÂ’ came over to me to watch TV I forgot I was in a game and accidentally strangled her."
Conner's parents admitted that they felt that their son's behavior was influenced by Bioshock's gameplay. They further stated that they were not to blame as their son was old enough to purchase the game by himself.
Anti-violent video game advocate Jack Thompson also released a statement regarding the incident, saying that "Justice will be served to the bastards that caused this crime."
Update: Video game news site Destructoid has received word from KCTV that this story is, in fact, not true. The Jack Thompson statement, however, has yet to be officially debunked as fiction.

"the bastards that caused this crime."
That would be the 17+ year old that strangled his sister. What a piece of crap!
I like how the parents claim no responsibility for raising a POS son that would do such a thing to a girl/woman. That entire household should be ashamed of themselves!!!

this is a joke.......i hate that the boy strangled the his sister, but how can you seriously blame the game? i have played it and didnt strangle anyone while playing...
the kid obvioulsy had some serious issues before playing any video games....GAMES DONT KILL PEOPLE

They are not to blame because they realised the game influenced their (retarded) son and did nothing??????
What???? Wait.... WHAT????????????

Not that makes his actions any better or more excusable. The kid should be strapped to a bed in a mental ward obviously.
But do not get confused, this was assault not murder.

Well I'm happy this is not true in the end.

However, now the article is bogus. It never happened.
