Ubisoft sales up by 24.4% on a year-on-year basis |
Ó
Ubisoft beat their March 31, 2007 minimum sales target by € 45 million or about US$ 61.1 million. This puts their total revenue for fiscal year 2006-2007 at € 680 million (US$ 924.6million). It marks a 24.4% increase from the declared € 547 million (US$ 743.8 million) of fiscal year 2005-2006.A jump in their last quarter sales was spearheaded by two games: Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and is partially responsible for the bump in revenue that Ubisoft experienced. The game publisher's share market has also increased both in the US and in Europe, thus further establishing the company as one of the big players in the gaming market today.
So what's next for Ubisoft? They have reportedly raised their sales targets for 2007-2008 to approximately €800 million ($1.08 billion) which boosts their previous forecast by € 50 million or approximately US$ 68 million. They have some big games lined up for 2007 (listed in SpazioGames) such as Assassins Creed and Brothers In Arms 3: Hell's Highway so they could be banking on the fact that these games will sell well.
