Ó

translatordsDo you hate knowing just one out of the gazillion languages on the planet? Then we recommend Mollusk's homebrew app called TranslatorDS! TranslatorDS, according to its developer, has the advantage of supporting a dictionary format that is available for free and can be easily added using PAFS.

The dictionary database has got hundreds of different languages including:

English <-> French
English <-> German
English <-> Italian
English <-> Latin
English <-> Portuguese
English <-> Spanish

Francais<-> Allemand
Francais<-> Anglais
Francais<-> Espagnol
Francais<-> Italian
Francais<-> Latin
Francais<-> Portugais

Italiano<-> Francese
Italiano<-> Inglese
Italiano<-> Latin
Italiano<-> Portoghese
Italiano<-> Spagnolo
Italiano<-> Tedesco

To add dictionaries, simply download the .wb files using the ‘naked’ version. Simply add the .wb files and gif files (skins...) in the ‘Files’ folder, run PAFS.bat, and you’re good to go. Happy translating!

Note: We made a mistake and credited Lorenzo for this great homebrew app. This project is by Mollusk and not Lorenzo as we wrote earlier. Lorenzo is the guy who created the good-looking skins for TranslatorDS. We apologize to Mollusk for this boo-boo.

» News Error

Hi !

I'd like to point out a 'little' error in this news... This homebrew is by me (Mollusk), and is actually the second version of the Multilanguage translator that was released the other day...

Lorenzo is the guy who made the nice windows XP skin ^^

Hey, good job on this. are they only do the translated in phrase or they can translate to the whole sentence at once ? Google translation and others really are crappy with the translations.

» Only words

Only does words... It's much harder to translate sentences, as you have to understand which meaning of the word was used in that sentence, translate the grammar and all.... Way too tough for me, sorry ^^

You need to run PAFS.bat first, to include the dictionnaries... The naked version comes with no dictionnaries, so that you can include your own languages (following the links on my site)

If you want a version with dictionnaries added (French-English, for example), try this : http://www.palib.info/Roms/NewTranslator.zip

http://www.palib.info/wiki/doku.php?id=translatords

You can get all the info here and links to all the english dictionnary downloads

» Also

It requires .net framework as well, right?

Working wonderfully (minus some graphical glitches and characters not represented (from Slovak)), very handy app. Thanks, Mollusk!
