Tragnarion gets Nintendo license; DS title Doodle Hex to be ported to Wii |
Ó
Spain-based video game development company Tragnarion Studios announced today that it has finally acquired its license from Nintendo that allows its developers to make games for the Nintendo Wii console.
The company, however, is not at all new to Nintendo systems. As a matter of fact, one of its projects include Doodle Hex for the DS. Speaking of which, Tragnarion also mentioned that the fighting/puzzle game will be released this coming May.
Seeing the anticipation gamers are showing for Doodle Hex, Tragnarion Studios decided that its first Nintendo Wii game is going to be a port of the handheld one. The company's lead designer for the title Ricardo Carretero had this to say:
We are really looking forward to work with our recently acquired Wii Licensed, so that we can bring the Doodle Hex saga to this amazing platform. We've been working on preparing some really innovative projects which will make full use of the Wii's unique capabilities.
As of now, there's still no word as to how the company plans to port this game to the Nintendo Wii. But it seems that it's not going to be a problem since the stylus of the handheld works similarly to the Wiimote.
