Lara Croft's new adventure, Tomb Raider: Underworld, is looking as gorgeous as its heroine. Featuring improved lighting, mechanics and motion-captured animation, Tomb Raider Underworld promises to be the best Lara Croft game to date.

The game's been delayed until late this year, but if it means a better game then it's fine with us. Tomb Raider: Underworld is expected to hit the PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, tWii, and the Nintendo DS.

In this latest batch of screenshots we find Lara in the now-familiar Mayan ruins shown in previous screens. The effects of the rain and water is just amazing. Check them out:
