The Nintendo Weekend Warrior: on MotionPlus and a DS box plus a bunch of rocks |
Ó
It's that time of the week again, eh? Time sure flies. It's been a busy week for Nintendo and the Wii and DS games, so let's get crackin'! For starters, we've got lots of Monster Hunter 3 updates for you guys, so you'd better check those out. Then the new Wii MotionPlus is making some noise with a few bundles and the biggest pre-release markdown you'll ever see. And barely making it to today's recap is a brand new Nintendo DS, only it's a bunch of rocks and a newspaper, minus the DS.
Game News:
- Worry not, Blood of Bahamut is still getting along fine. It's just that Square Enix has been busy with its more important projects. Anyway, here's a load of screens for ya. Link
- Monster Hunter 3 details pour in as Japanese gaming mag Famitsu gets a few words from the game's director and producer. Read up! Link
- That's not all we've got for MH3. We also have the confirmed weapon types for the game, so you'll know which weapon to whack which monster with. Link
- If you still haven't had enough of Monster Hunter 3, then treat yourself to this ten-minute gameplay vid for the latest Monster Hunter. Link
- Ada Wong Wiiturns in Resident Evil: The Dark Side Chronicles, where she and fellow RE2 star Sherry Birkin fight through a new twist in the RE2 storyline. Link
Nintendo News:
- Just like PSP porn and GTA ecstasy, the Nintendo DS finds itself handing out freebies from hell when a 16-year-old found rocks in his DS box instead of the handheld. Link
- Despite having plans to add various services to their handheld, Nintendo flat out denies that the DSi is getting Skype services. Oh well. Link
- So the rumors were true! Amazon really was planning to work with WiiWare like it did with Xbox. The online retailer now offers game codes, starting with World of Goo. Link
- Staying loyal to the Wii's motion-sensing power is Electronic Arts, who will bundle titles with Nintendo's Wii MotionPlus. Link
- Speaking of MotionPlus and online retailers, GameStop's listing for Nintendo's new controller says that its price dropped to US$ 49.99 from US$ 230,541.01. Link
Homebrew News:
- iDeaS is not just a DS emulator anymore. With this update, iDeaS now has support for GameBoy Advance emulation. Link
- Tantric provides another quick update for the SNES emulator, Snes9x GX, which fixes a settings glitch from an earlier release that came out this week. Link
So that wraps it up for this edition of the Wii DS Warrior. Check back again with us next week as we bring you the recap of all the hottest topics in the world of Nintendo, at least the ones Nintendo actually lets all of us in on.
