Ó

nesDSThe Nintendo Entertainment System, or NES, is an 8-bit video game console that quickly became the most successful gaming console of its time in Asia and North America (Nintendo claims over 60 million NES units sold worldwide). The NES helped revive the flagging video game industry following the video game crash of 1983 and raised the bar for subsequent consoles in everything from game design to business practices.

It was only a matter of time before a DS homebrew master came up with  an NES Emulator for the DS. That master happened to be Loopy. Loopy (and later with FluBBa) released three versions of nesDS almost a year ago. In case you're wondering whatever happened to nesDS, we'll we got great news.

emu_kidid has been working on the Loopy original and here is what he has accomplished so far:
  • Added Save State save/load
  • Added SRAM save/load
  • Added Setting save capabilities
  • FrameSkip option
Meanwhile his to-do list includes:
  • Fix games like double dragon 2
  • Update to latest libFAT (to support SCSD Saving)
emu_kidid will issue a WIP binary in a few days and promises nesDS will have latest update release not too long from now. For now, you can try out the older versions by clicking on the link below.
