Lord of the Rings games come in different flavors, from RTS games (War of the Ring, Battle for Middle-Earth) to MMOs (Shadows of Angmar). This time, we get a Star War: Battlefront flavor to it. Mmm hmm, coming from Pandemic Studios, LotR: Conquest is going for that tried-and-tested Battlefront formula. Plus you get to play as an Ent. How cool is that?! And the Balrog too!
They've just announced over the press wire that the game will be released simultaneously for the PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and DS on January 9 of next year. Here's a trailer:
