The DS Chip Advanced - X & Y Button Function MODCHIP!!

The guys over at Mash-Mod have introduced one of the first NDS modchips after months of developing. As you all know, the NDS and NDS Lite can play GBA games via its second cartridge slot (GBA slot). The NDS also introduced two more buttons (X & Y) to the handheld, something of which the GBA and GBA SP both lacked. Since both previous handhelds lacked this, there was no X & Y support for GBA games as alternative buttons. However, with this new modchip, that support is given. After having successfully installed this modchip, you will be able to use X & Y as either turbo buttons or even L & R for those who don't want to hit the triggers all the time. Also, it even tells you when the chip is activated (something of which I personally like). When your green LED is off, the modchip is on. When the LED is on, the modchip is off! The great thing about this chip is that the wires come pre-cut, and only require soldering (only..)! Also, Mash-Mods has taken the liberty to allow you to purchase the professional installation service for only 4$ more (22$). So, if you are a GBA fan and own a NDS in which you play all your classic GBA games on, this modchip is for you! See the gallery of screenshots below!

What market is this aimed at? If you know people that would mod their DS for XY functionality during GBA play I'd like to see them.

# this should have been difrentGuest 2006-06-30 16:23
these people are dumb ass's A and B on the Ds's layout are in the worst postion ever to be the main buttons. On the snes layout witch is like ds's layout the main buttons on the controller were B and y witch is a hell ov a lot better then A and b controls on the ds. Anyway they should have made it so you could use B and y in gba games instead of A and B . that fact they dident sucks ass.

I would have aculey bought this it enabled B and Y as the main buttons in gba games because A and B is horrible.
