The video game Tank Beat for the DS, published by O~3 Entertainment and developed by Milestone Inc., is on its way, and they've got the screenshots to prove it. To play this game, the player has to draw tracks on the touch screen portion of the DS (which contains the map), and choose a point to fire their weapons at. Your tank appears and responds on the top screen.
In Tank Beat, players can engage in a variety of missions and can also end up commandeering different kinds of tanks. There are 27 levels of play and various tanks can be unlocked as objectives are achieved. If you do get tired of Tank Beat's story mode, you can always play a skirmish game or challenge up to four other players via the DS' wi-fi connection.
Tank Beat was already released in Japan last November 30, but is slated to hit the US market this month. If you're a "shell head" (no, not the turtle kind) you might want to give this game a try. Check out the screenshots to see if it's up to par.
