Surprise, surprise: Square Enix's income higher than expected |

So, with Final Fantasy XII topping the PS2 charts at Amazon, Square Enix has just rehashed their tabulations of its fiscal year and, after some tax adjustments, they're expecting higher sales. With that said, there's going to be a bunch of numbers and statistics up ahead so, bear with us for a minute.
In their company statement, they're expecting US$ 27.9-million for total net income from the six-month period which ended in September 30. This change shows a 32% bump up from the previous forecast. All this was due to "an adjustment in the amount deferred income taxes associated with consolidated accounting" as well as licensing income from "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children" movie.
So, with this in mind, how do you think Square Enix will fare for the next round? Just today, FFIII was just released in North America. But more than this, they've got some powerhouse of a line-up to be released in the coming months, including Crisis Core: FFVII, Dragon Quest Swords, and Final Fantasy XIII. With that alone, you wouldn't even need to know all those numbers and accounting info just to have a clue of how they're faring...

Idi@ts, IGN.com reviewed X360’s HD-DVD drive today on Nov. 15. It received 7.5 out of 10. What a disaster for MS. Sigh. They explained bunch of things why this new piece of garb@ge (sorry, I meant piece of hardware) had to get such worthless score. Lack of HDMI function is just one thing. $600 USD (+ tax) of price tag is just another thing. IGN has been totally disappointed with this new HD-DVD drive. * * * * * * Resistance: Fall of Sony (!) and Ridge Racer 7 got such disappointing reviews, too. Both have like mediocre graphics and this is the biggest reason why the biggest and second biggest games on the PS3 got such tragic scores which is far below 9.0. * * * * * * Anyway, I feel sorry for those kids who spend much of their young lives playing games. These idiotic kids are the worst mor@ns, and this is a fact. Their parents say to their kids countless number of times; however, these mor@nic kids never understand such fact until they become about 30. They will know (when they finally become 30 or so) that their lives are worthless. They are classified as 3rd raters from the eyes of 1st and 2nd raters. 1st raters mean those who have university degree or higher; 2nd raters mean college diploma or so, kids. heh, your post is amusing to me, bacause i have just finished my 2nd year of a university degree and will be studying my 3rd year in Japan... on top of that I have been playing video games as long as I can remember, I have also played competitive sports for as long as I can remember (taking something like that to be your second rate people), so that places me in every one of your poorly outlined categories. You're calling me a moron my IQ is 138, I'm not exactly a genius, I'll give you that, but i'm by no means a moron. And BTW it has been proven over several real life studies that video games can improve, problem solving skills, lateral thinking puzzles, map reading skills, and improvement in several other skills based areas I'm certain you're ignorant of. next time you feel like being an ass and flaming message boards, learn about your subject area and demographic first.
